Welcome to NGB and our Kingdom Come Deliverance walkthrough for A Bird in the Hand quest! Here you’ll find everything you’ll need to easily breeze through this quest.
A Bird in the Hand Overview
Quest Giver: Huntsman Berthold – Rattay
Summary: Huntsman Berthold in Rattay will task Henry with catching some Nightingales that escaped from their bird cages. He gives Henry 3 bird traps for catching the birds and mimics the cry they make for Henry to use in tracking them.
Objectives:
Catch 3 Nightingales that escaped to the woods
Head to the quest location marked on your map to start tracking the birds in the highlighted area. Please note there is a bandit camp in this area so watch out! Listen for a spot where a cry similar to the one Berthold made is the loudest. When you find one, drop a trap from your inventory and start looking for the next spot. There will be 3 spots in total. After you place all 3 traps, wait for an hour in-game time. The nightingales will be caught in the traps which are now ready for you to collect and turn in to Berthold for a reward.
In the top half of the highlighted area, you’ll find a stone ruin. In the middle of the broken building you’ll find a chest with some decent loot. This is one of the treasure locations from an ancient map. It might only be accessible to those with the DLC provided in the special edition of the game.
