In the Iki Island DLC in Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll come across Deer Sanctuaries. To begin the mini rhythm game, interact with the mat to play the flute. You will need to keep the pitch between the two lines by using the motion controls.
Sly Hunter’s Forest
This sanctuary can be found at Sly Hunter’s Forest in the northwestern part of the map. After playing the mini game, you’ll receive the Charm of Sugaru’s Sight. With this charm, bows can shoot up to three arrows at once if you have enough ammo.
Shattered Cliffs
This sanctuary can be found on the western coast at the Shattered Cliffs. After playing the mini game, you’ll get an upgrade for the Charm of Sugaru’s Sight.
Zasho River
This sanctuary can be found south of Zasho River. You’ll need to liberate the Zasho River Crossing from Mongol control before you’ll have access to it. After playing the flute, you’ll get an upgrade for the Charm of Sugaru’s Sight.
Below are the objectives for The Ghost of Iki Island in Ghost of Tsushima.
Investigate the “Ghost of Iki” rumors at the survivors’ camp
Head to the Survivors’ Camp at Kemono Trail, which is southwest of Fort Sakai, and speak with the man sitting on a stump.
Travel to the Ghost’s offering site
Travel southwest to find an abandoned campsite.
Investigate the Ghost’s offering site
Examine the fire pit and the sake bottle next to the stump. Next, examine the torch to the left of the stump.
Find what the Ghost was scouting for
Watch the “Ghost”.
Catch up to the Ghost
Head to the right of the village to encounter a standoff.
Track the Ghost imposter
Approach the objective to examine the tracks then proceed to follow them until you come to a camp with 2 people.
Reach the bandits’ hideout to find the Ghost
Head west and approach the large house.
Rescue the Ghost of Iki
Defeat all the enemies then head inside the large house to trigger a cutscene.
Lead Kenji to safety at the campsite
Follow the objective to the campsite to trigger another cutscene.
Travel with Kenji to find his accomplice
Follow behind Kenji.
Speak with Kenji and Fugu
Approach the duo and speak with them.
Travel with Kenji and Fugu to the Viper’s Den
Follow behind Kenji and Fugu.
Walk with Kenji to meet the Viper
When Kenji and Fugu dismount, follow behind them into the village.
Speak with the Viper
Speak with the man. We picked the options to defuse the situation.
Travel to the outskirts of Mongol camp with Kenji
Travel east to find the camp.
Collect the Viper’s navigation charts
Take out the enemies in this area and search near a broken wooden walkway next to a campfire to find the charts.
Meet Kenji near the Mongol camp
Follow the objective out of the Mongol camp and across the bridge to find Kenji hiding nearby.
Speak with the Viper
Approach the Viper and speak with him. After a cutscene, the quest will complete, and you’ll receive the Charm of Perfect Landing, which allows you to gain Resolve after successfully performing a Safe Landing.

Raider’s Promontory
After playing the flute, you’ll receive the Charm of Mashira’s Protection. With this charm whenever using the down arrow, your Perfect Parry and Perfect Dodge windows are extended for a limited time. Healing costs 1 additional Resolve.
Saruiwa
This sanctuary can be found southeast of Saruiwa on the very top of a the rock mountain. After playing the flute, your Charm of Mashira’s Protection will improve.
Buddha’s Footprints
This sanctuary can be found west of Buddha’s Footprints. After playing the flute, your Charm of Mashira’s Protection will improve.
Below are the lighthouse locations on Iki Island in Ghost of Tsushima.
Thieves Rest Lighthouse
This lighthouse can be found in Thieves Rest Village, which is on the east coast. To reach the top of the lighthouse, just walk right inside and climb up using the ladders. Once at the top, light the lighthouse!
Yahata Lighthouse
This lighthouse can be found in the very northern part of the map, directly north of Fort Sakai. When facing the lighthouse, climb up the left side to find a destroyed part of the lighthouse that is climbable. Once at the top, light the lighthouse!
Below are the objectives for A Lost Friend tale in Ghost of Tsushima’s Iki Island DLC.
Find the ship that brought you to Iki
Head to the northwestern part of the map near Sly Hunter’s Forest to locate the wreckage of your ship. Next to the boat you’ll find the corpse of your captain. Interact with him to give him a proper burial.
Search for signs of your horse
Near the captain’s corpse, look in the sand to find Nobu’s tracks.
Follow your horse’s tracks
Examine the tracks when prompted as you follow them through the sand deeper into Iki Island. After exiting the area with the sand, the tracks stick to the small muddy trail. You’ll come across a man with a dead snake at his feet. Speak with him then continue following the tracks along the muddy path. You’ll next come to some Mongol prints and a corpse with his skull kicked in by a horse. Proceed forward along the path a short way to come across a group of Mongols. Defeat them.
Reach your horse
After defeating the Mongols, continue heading east along the muddy path to find Nobu!
Charge through the Mongols
Hold L1 to charge through the Mongols. Keep charging through 2 waves of Mongols.
Rescue the survivor
After cleaning up the remaining Mongols, follow the nearby path and defeat the group of Mongols. Once the area is clear, rescue the captive.
Iki Island is the new DLC that was added in with the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. It is not available until you reach at least Act 2. To begin it, you’ll want to go to the Tales of Iki in the journal and set the Journey into the Past as active. This will send you to a new location along Drowned Man’s Shore east of Akashima Village. Completing this tale will unlock the boat that takes you to Iki Island.

This record is located in the fisherman’s hut near the ocean by Senjo George at Kazumasa’s End. It can only be collect after completing The Blessing of Death tale.
Below are the objectives for the Journey Into the Past tale in Ghost of Tsushima’s Iki Island DLC.
Investigate the settlement
Travel to Drowned Man’s Shore to find a house. Approach the person crouched by the house to trigger a cutscene. Inspect the ground near this man to find a set of Mongol tracks.
Investigate the Mongol presence
Follow the tracks to a hut. Inside this hut, inspect the clothing on the floor and the corpse trapped by the wooden board. Next, inspect the altar outside the hut.
Defeat the Mongols
After a brief cutscene introducing Shamans, kill all the enemies.
Interrogate the Mongol Shaman
After the battle, approach the Shaman to trigger a cutscene.
Speak with the boatman to sail for Iki Island
Head outside the village to find the boatman located along Drowned Man’s Shore. Speak with him to trigger a cutscene in which you’ll set sail for Iki Island. After arriving on the island, press forward along the path until you reach a wooden barrier. Use your grapple hook to pull the wood allowing you to exit the tunnel to complete the quest.
