Investigate the Distress Call
Head to Roseway’s broadcast tower in the Roseway Outpost.
Find Anton’s Safe
Head to the Covert Lab southeast of Roseway Outpost at the end of the paved road. Enter the main entrance and head through a door on either side behind the reception desk. Talk to Porter then exit the room through the door on the left side and take a right to head down a long hallway. At the end of the hallway, take a left and head down the stairs. Head straight ahead and through the doorway. Take a left and head down to the door at the end. Enter the door to find the safe and examine it.
Recover Anton’s Data
Exit the room and head all the way down the hallway and take a left at the dead end. Take the first right and head down the stairs. On the landing, interact with Cassandra O’Malley who is in the cage to the right.
(Optional) Eliminate the Outlaws
You will only be able to do this objective if you have Persuade 45. Head back and talk to Porter and convince him to leave and let Cassandra go.
Create an Escape Route
Head back to the room where Anton’s safe was. Instead of heading into the room, take a left into Porter’s office and use his terminal to gain a keycard to free Cassandra. (If you already printed the keycard when you were exploring, just wait awhile for the objective to update.)
(Optional) Deal with the Rapidons
You can choose to install three Sedative Gas Canister that can be found laying around in Auntie Cleo Corporation’s Secret Lab (preferred by Anton) or kill them with guns/melee weapons. To find the room in which you can install the canisters, from Cassandra O’Malley’s cell head left when facing the cell and go up the ramp. At the top of the ramp, take a right then take a left heading down a smaller ramp between metal support beams. Head through this door to find the ventilation system on the right side of the room and the terminal to ventilate the gas on the left. You will also find the mother of Rapidons in this room as well. Install the canisters and turn on the ventilation without killing her if you want to keep the scientists happy.
Release Cassandra
Exit this room and turn left. Just before the ramp up there will be a door on the right. Enter through this door and follow the walkway right. (If you did not sedate the rapidons, you will need to kill them in this room.) Head down the ramp and take an immediate right. Use the Covert Lab Security Keycard to free Cassandra. Once you release her, tell her that she needs to hand over the research as part of The Distress Signal side quest. She will not do this unless you have Lie 50, Intimidate 51 or Persuade 31.
Speak to Anton
Head back to Roseway Outpost and talk to Anton to complete the quest. You might have to choose a specific dialog option to be able to hand it over or not. Mine was “I convinced the outlaws that staying would be hazardous to their heath”.
