This is our walkthrough for the second main story mission in Pokemon Legends: Arceus called The Galaxy Team’s Entry Trial! Below you’ll find each objective for the mission and how to complete them so expect to find some spoilers.
Choose a Pokemon to be your first part in preparation for your trial
After Cyllene gives you the details on the trail, you’ll be able to pick your starter Pokemon. Interact with Cyndaquil, Rowlet or Oshawott to choose them.
Depart for the Obsidian Fieldlands from Jubilife Village’s front gate
Exit the headquarters building and take a left towards the gate. When you get there, a cutscene triggers leading to a battle against Volo and his Level 5 Togepi. After the battle, he’ll give you 5 Potions and heal your Pokemon. You’ll then want to speak to Ress and choose the Obsidian Fields as your destination.
Catch a Bidoff, the first Pokemon species you need for your trial
After a cutscene, follow Akari/Rei to locate a Bidoof. Chase after it then use a Poke Ball to catch it.
Catch a Starly, the second Pokemon species you need for your trial
Continue following Akari/Rei to locate a Starly. Crouch in the nearby grass to sneak up on it and catch it with a Poke Ball.
Catch a Shinx, the third Pokemon species you need for your trail
Chase after Akari/Rei again to trigger a cutscene that will introduce how to collect materials in the field. Throw the Poke Ball with our partner Pokemon at the tree to collect some berries then keep following the path to find the Shinx. You’ll have to battle the Shinx to reduce its health. When it’s low enough, catch it using a Poke Ball. This will trigger a cutscene.
Report to Captain Cyllene about how your trial went
When you regain control of your character, return to Captain Cyllene in the Galaxy Team Headquarters to trigger a cutscene.
Use the mirror in your quarters to change into your new Survey Corps Uniform
Exit the building and return to your room. Interact with the mirror near your futon to change clothes.
Report to Commander Kamado in his office on the third floor of Galaxy Hall
Head back to the Galaxy Team Headquarters to trigger a cutscene. Make your way to the third floor for another cutscene.
