This is a guide on the collectibles found in The Forbidden Sands in God of War Ragnarök (GOWR) for 100% area completion. In this area, the following collectibles can be found:
- Nornir Chests x2
- Legendary Chests x2
- Lore x7
- Artifacts x3
- Odin’s Ravens x4
- Yggdrasil Rift x1
- Song of the Sands x1
- Freyr’s Gift x1
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found south of the entrance to The Burrows on top of a large rock.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found flying near the giant statue west of The Burrows.
Lore – The Enlightened One
This lore marker can be found after completing the Freyr’s Gift favor. It will be right next to where the beam of light comes out from the sand once the crystals have all been placed correctly!
Artifact – Token
This artifact can be found next to a Yggdrasil Rift in the very northern part of The Forbidden Sands. You’ll need to squeeze through the narrow space to the right of the giant locked Elven doors.
Yggdrasil Rift
This floating black orb can be found next to the above artifact!
Artifact – Bracelet
This artifact can be found on the northeastern side of the area at the base of the Elven Sanctum (giant statue with a doorway in the bottom of it).
Lore – Rules of the Sanctum
This lore marker can be found in the Elven Sanctum (northeastern side of the area – enter at the base of a giant statue).
Lore – An Examination of Temporal Significance
This scroll can be found on the table in the same room as the above lore marker.
Lore – The Lost Pages (Crafting Labor)
This item can be found on the table in the same room as the above scroll and lore marker.
Lore – The Arbiters of Knowledge
This lore marker can be found on the upper ledge in the above library.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found on the upper level of the southwestern area of the Elven Sanctum. Open it to receive an Jewel of Yggdrasil.
Lore – Forgotten Tower
This treasure map can be found on the bookshelf to the right of the legendary chest on the upper level of the Elven Sanctum.
Artifact – Trip
This artifact can be found at the top of a tower where the Frost Phantom spawns!
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found in the southern part of the area.
There will be two hanging crystals. The one on the left is stuck with vines so use the sigils and the Blades of Chaos to free it. Turn the left crystal to be facing you and the right crystal needs to be facing left. Throw the axe at the left crystal to free the chest. Open it to receive the Hardened War Handles.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found in the southern part of the area under behind a fallen column.
To open it, you’ll need to light 3 braziers.
Open it to receive a Horn of Blood Mead.
Lore – Bjarg Stormr
This lore marker can be found on the western side of the area.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found next to the above lore marker.
Buried Treasure
This buried treasure can be found on the northern side of the area to the left of the Desert Doors.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found in a hidden area under the Elven Sanctum. To reach it, destroy the broken section in the door just under the door below the statue that leads into the sanctum.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found in the same area as the above raven. Throw your axe at the crystals to destroy the red orbs and release the growth barricading the chest. Afterwards, light the three braziers. To do this use the sigils to guide the nearby fires to the brazier. For the last brazier hidden behind the “eyelid”, you’ll have to guide the fire from the brazier below it to the unlit brazier using the sigils. When you’re able, open the chest to receive an Idunn Apple.
