To obtain the Kappa side quest in Ghostwire: Tokyo, speak with the Old Man spirit sitting on a bench near an escalader north of Kuo Shrine.
Afterwards, head up the escalader then jump in the water and speak with the Boy Who Can’t Move.
Place the cucumber
Place the cucumber on the pedestal in the water near the boy.
Hide behind the statue
Head behind the statue to hide. A kappa will come out. Use spectral vision to watch the kappa without it seeing you. When it swims around, move around the statue to remain hidden. When it eats the bait, sneak up behind it and absorb it.
Talk to the boy
Return to the boy and speak with him to complete the quest.
