Welcome to NGB and our guide for the Laser Ore Processor Alpha side quest in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Here’ll we cover how to start the quest and what all you’ll need to do in order to complete it.
How to Start Laser Ore Processor Alpha
In order to start this quest, approach the Laser Ore Processor Alpha RDA Base in the Stoneblade Ridge region of Kinglor Forest, which will trigger a radio message with the Resistance. If you’re early on in the game, you’ll be advised to stay away from the base as it has a Power Level of 20.
Make sure to approach the base on foot as it has anti-air turrets. On the southeastern side of the RDA Base, you’ll find a broken section of fence that you can use to enter the base.
After entering through the fence, turn right and follow along the fence. You’ll spot a yellow pipe coming out of the side of a structure on the left. Next to it, you’ll find a grate that you can hit to reveal a vent shaft.
When we punched the grate, it made a noise that the grate had broken but remained in place. We were then able to just walk through it to reach the vent.
Climb on through then follow the vent.
Find a way through the checkpoint
After emerging from the vent, climb up the RDA Lift Tool then make your way to the north side of the room under the Control and Logistics Deck.
Once on that platform, hack the device using your SID.
Hack the Cargo Trench Control Console
Look across the room to find a RDA Lift Tool and climb up it leading to some yellow pipes. To the right of them, will be a vent you can use to get through the checkpoint. In the next room, follow along the yellow pipes and ledges to reach the Control Room.
Jump on the roof of the Control Room and enter via the grate. Please note there is one enemy inside that you’ll need to take out! Drop down then use your SID to hack the device in this room.
Survive the cargo trench counter-attack
After hacking the device, the enemies in the room will attack. Quickly make your way to the upper pipes/ledges. Take out one enemy (to open the door on the west side of the room).
Reach the gas pipeline control room
Head through the door on the west side of the room and make your way to Gas Facility 1 by following the print on the walls. Once you reach the Gas Pipeline Control Terminal, use your SID to hack the computer!
Shoot the 3 gas pipeline shutoff valves
Once the computer is hacked, the window will open and you’ll need to head inside and shoot the 2 gas pipeline shutoff valves as you make your way through the room filled with enemies. Use your Na’vi senses to quickly spot the valves. After you blow up the second one, you’ll be able to enter a fan.
Reach the Slag Pit
Follow the way to Processing. At the end of the hallway before the Keep Clear sign above the door, there will be an enemy that you need to take care of. In the next room, head left and climb on top of the yellow pipe. Follow it up to a vent shaft. Knock out the grate then drop down onto the walkway below and follow the signs to Processing.
Hack the Slag Pit Gas Control Terminal
Once in the hot room, head along the upper left side of the room and sneak behind everyone, taking out enemies as needed, to reach the control room. Once inside, hack the computer!
Shoot the gas pipeline shutoff valve
Once the computer has been hacked, more enemies will spawn from the west. Take them out the shoot the valve on the southern wall.
Reach the smelting unit
Head down the stairs under the gas pipeline shutoff valve you just shot then enter the circular hole. Make your way down to the bottom set of pipes just above the lava to find the way forward. Continue forward, killing the one enemy in the next room. Along the linear path, you’ll need to use the lever to turn off the electricity then smash through a grate. Eventually, you’ll come to a door with a 5 to the right of it.
Hack the device to the left of the door to open it then proceed forward to reach the smelting unit.
Damage the laser’s lens
For this objective, you’ll need to shoot the front tower’s 2 exposed shutoff valves while dealing with the enemies. Once both have been destroyed, shoot the lens. You’ll then need to open the left side gallery’s 3 emergency pipelines by physically going up to them and holding square until each opens.
Destroy the laser
Shoot the actual part of where the laser comes out (the light). Once the laser has been destroyed, the quest will complete!
