Pokemon Unite – Cinderace Build

by Chappie in

Below are the build(s) we are using with Cinderace in Pokemon Unite. Please note that for the items below we upgraded them to level 20 to increase their effectiveness!

All-Star

Battle Item: X Attack / Eject Button
Held Item 1: Muscle Band
Held Item 2: Focus Band
Held Item 3: Float Stone
Move 1: Pyro Ball
Move 2: Feint

This build for Cinderace is all about dealing damage. It uses Pyro Ball as its main skill dealing damage to enemies in a straight line inflicting burn while using Feint to increase movement speed and reduce the damage you take in fights. The Float Stone helps increase Cinderace’s movement speed while also increasing its attack. Pair that with the Muscle Band to further boost its attack while also increasing its attack speed, and the Focus Band which increases its defenses along with restoring some HP when it gets low. As for the battle item, you can go with the X Attack to deal more damage or the Eject Button for a strategic retreat if needed. This build works well playing the top or bottom lanes. Focus on getting Scorbunny to evolve and getting Pyro Ball before you start pushing into enemy territory.

Pokemon Unite – Snorlax Build

by NightlyGamingBinge in

Below are the build(s) we are using with Snorlax in Pokemon Unite. Please note that for the items below we upgraded them to level 20 to increase their effectiveness!

Hold the Line!

Battle Item: Eject Button
Held Item 1: Float Stone
Held Item 2: Focus Band
Held Item 3: Muscle Band
Move 1: Heavy Slam
Move 2: Block

With Snorlax, we wanted a bulky damage-tanking sponge, and with this build that’s exactly what you get. The moves we chose are Heavy Slam and Block. Heavy Slam does some decent damage and sends anything caught up in the mass that is Snorlax flying. Block has the big guy putting up a wall that enemies can’t pass through and stuns them temporarily if they make contact with it. This can be used to defend your points or fend off enemies allowing your allies to score. The held items paired with this build are the Float Stone, Focus Band and Muscle Band. The Float Stone helps Snorlax move around a little quicker while also providing a boost to its attacks, and the Muscle Band further increases attack along with attack speed. The big item for this build is the Focus Band. It increases both defense and special defense with the added effect of healing its wearer by a percentage of its maximum health when it gets low.  It especially helps in more drawn-out fights where you need just a little bit more HP. We recommend using this build to support your team as they score points or engage enemies. It works well on the top or bottom lanes.

Pokemon Unite – Gengar Build

by Chappie in

Below are the build(s) we are using with Gengar in Pokemon Unite. Please note that for the items below we upgraded them to level 20 to increase their effectiveness!

Curse of Death

Battle Item: Eject Button
Held Item 1: Float Stone
Held Item 2: Shell Bell
Held Item 3: Wise Glasses
Move 1: Sludge Bomb
Move 2: Hex

This build is what makes Gengar really nasty to go against. The first move is Sludge Bomb to damage enemies by inflicting poison on those that it hits. Pair that with Hex, which deals extra damage to enemies that have a status condition and resets the cooldown to quickly finish off foes. The items that go along with this build are the Float Stone, Shell Bell and Wise Glasses. The Float Stone coupled with Gengar’s levitate ability help it move around the map quickly to engage in fights to support its allies. Then the Shell Bell and Wise Glasses increase its special attack while the former also reduces the cooldown length on Gengar’s skills. Eject Button works well with this build to add some extra maneuverability to Gengar’s bag of tricks. This build really shines when working the jungle (middle lane) where you’ll level up quickly and be able to start racking up some kills.

Pokemon Unite – Absol Build

by Chappie in

Below are the build(s) we are using with Absol in Pokemon Unite. Please note that for the items below we upgraded them to level 20 to increase their effectiveness!

Absol the Destroyer

Battle Item: X Attack / Eject Button
Held Item 1: Muscle Band
Held Item 2: Scope Lens
Held Item 3: Float Stone
Move 1: Pursuit
Move 2: Pyscho Slash

This build capitalizes off of Absol’s high offense and mobility to jump into the fray and help teammates finish off enemies creating a window for them to score. The Muscle Band increases Absol’s attack speed and damage allowing it to get in more hits with increased damage. The next held item for this build is the Scope Lens. It increases crit chance and crit damage in tandem with its Super Luck ability to max out the critical-rate chance. The last held item for this build is the Float Stone which increases Absol’s movement speed allowing it to quickly move around the map while also providing another increase to attack. For attacks, we went with Pursuit and Pyscho Slash. Pursuit is a dash attack that deals extra damage to an enemy if you hit them from behind. This also reduces the ability’s cool down. Psycho Cut is used for its effect to slow enemy movement while temporarily increasing the damage of Absol’s basic attack to finish off opposing players. The battle item we are using with this build is X Attack for increased damage to take down enemies faster. An alternative to that would be the Eject Button for those moments when you need to create some distance between you and the enemy team. This build is best used when playing Absol in the jungle (middle lane).

Pokemon Unite – Lucario Build

by Chappie in

Below are the build(s) we are using with Lucario in Pokemon Unite. Please note that for the items below we upgraded them to level 20 to increase their effectiveness!

The Blue Streak

Battle Item: Goal-Getter / X Attack / Eject Button
Held Item 1: Muscle Band
Held Item 2: Float Stone
Held Item 3: Scope Lens
Move 1: Extreme Speed
Move 2: Bone Rush

For this build, we wanted to have Lucario move around quickly while dealing solid damage to keep the enemy at bay. This led us to choose Extreme Speed and Bone Rush for its moves. Extreme Speed gives you extra mobility to engage or chase down enemies. When used in close vicinity of an opponent, the cooldown gets reset allowing for multiple uses. It even restores a little HP to keep you fighting longer! Bone Rush was chosen for its wide attack radius with the additional effect of throwing the bone. If you activate the skill a second time, Lucario rushes to the bone, dealing damage to anything in its way. This move also gives it a little more mobility. The held items that go along with this build are Muscle Band, Float Stone and Scope Lens. The Muscle Band is used to increase Lucario’s damage and attack speed paired with the Scope Lens to increase the critical chance and damage. This combination increases the damage of its skills with a higher chance to land a critical hit. Then you have the Float Stone to increase how fast Lucario can get around while also boosting its attack some more. When it comes to battle items, there are a couple of options. Goal-Getter is useful to help dump your points before an enemy shows up. You can substitute that for an X Attack to increase Lucario’s damage during a bigger fight or an Eject Button to help with a strategic retreat. This build is better utilized when playing the upper or bottom lane.

Pokemon Unite – Alolan Ninetales Build

by Chappie in

Below are the build(s) we are using with Alolan Ninetales in Pokemon Unite. Please note that for the items below we upgraded them to level 20 to increase their effectiveness!

Aurora Borealis

Battle Item: X Attack / Eject Button
Held Item 1: Muscle Band
Held Item 2: Shell Bell
Held Item 3: Scope Lens
Move 1: Dazzling Gleam
Move 2: Aurora Veil

The purpose of this build is to backup teammates in battle by utilizing the support moves that Alolan Ninetales has access to. For the 1st move, we went with Dazzling Gleam because of the wide area the attack covers and its secondary effect to stun enemies. This allows you to hit multiple enemies at once allowing a teammate to come in and finish them off. Aurora Veil is the second move the build uses to reduce damage to it and teammates while also increasing the basic attack speed for Ninetales. We paired these moves with the Muscle Band, Shell Bell and Scope Lens items. Muscle Band is used to increase the damage and frequency of Ninetales basic attack while the Shell Bell increases special attack used by its moves and reduces their cooldown. Then we added the Scope Lens to increase the crit damage and chance from its attacks. When it comes to battle items you have a couple of options. The X Attack can be used to increase Ninetales damage in bigger fights or you can run with the Eject Button for extra maneuverability. This build is best used when paired with an Attacker or All-Rounder teammate.
