Below is a walkthrough for the Level 18 side quest called A Soldier’s March in Horizon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, speak with Jekkah at The Bulwark after completing The Broken Sky main quest.
Go to the Start of the Climb
Travel west of The Bulwark to find a set of stair leading up.
Climb up the Cliff
Do as the objective says and climb the mountain!
Talk to Wekatta
Speak with the person near the fires and painted rock.
Find the Tenakth Climbers
Head up the mountain, following the painted signs.
Kill the Machine
Defeat the enemy attacking the man.
Speak with the Tenakth Climber
Speak with the man. Also note that there is a Log: Cpt. Sueiro (A) Datapad just south across from him.
Climb the Mountain
Continue heading up the mountain. You’ll reach an area where you can scan for Penttoh’s tracks. Do so then follow his tracks further up the mountain. You’ll hear a man battling an enemy.
Kill the Machines
Defeat the enemies attacking Penttoh.
Speak with Penttoh
Speak with the man you helped fight.
Climb the Mountain
Continue climbing up the mountain towards the ominous sound. Along the way, you’ll find a Log: Cpt. Sueiro (B) Datapoint just before you have to push down a tree to continue.
Kill the Frostclaw
Defeat the machine atop the mountain.
Follow Penttoh
After defeating the Frostclaw, follow Penttoh even further up the mountain.
Talk to Penttoh
When you reach the tallest point, speak with Penttoh.
Return to Wekatta
Glide off the mountain to reach the base where Wekatta awaits. Speak with him to trigger a cutscene that will complete the quest.
Below is a walkthrough for the Level 25 The Long Coast relic ruins in Horizon Forbidden West. This ruins can be found down the road north of Thornmarsh.
Explore the Ruins
In the ruins, look for a switch that causes the lights on the ceiling to move. On the north side of the switch, there is a metal walkway. Use the ledge to the left of the walkway to climb on top of it.
Head to the end of the walkway to find some climbing pegs and use them to climb south. When you get to the end, drop down into a room with Firegleam. Ignite the Firegleam then head through the hole. Turn around and use your Pullcaster on the switch on the other side of the wall. This will cause the lights to move to access a grapple point. Quickly grapple to it as it does not stay there for long. Once on the grapple point, jump to the adjacent ledge to locate a crate. Drop the crate down to the ground level then drag it to the west side of the room. You’ll then need to drop it off the ledge to a pool of water below. Jump down into the water then use your Pullcaster to pull the crate out of the water west through a doorway. After you head through the doorway, on the left side of the room there will be an elevator shaft. Drag the crate into this shaft and push it up against the wall. Pull the vent at the top of the shaft then climb on up. Exit the elevator shaft and follow the walkway around to find an energy cell in the wall. Remove the energy cell then head down the nearby steps and insert it into the slot next the elevator.
Head into the elevator and press the button which will cause the elevator to rise. Pull the crate out of the elevator then send it back down to the bottom level. Exit the elevator and take the stairs back up to the second level. Push the crate into the elevator shaft then push the elevator button again to send it up to the second floor. Exit the elevator then turn around. Facing the elevator, look to your right for a grapple point. Grapple to it then use the pegs on the back side of the shaft to climb up to the top. When you reach the top of the tower, walk out onto a metal beam then jump to an adjacent column that has a yellow ring around the top. From there, glide into a hole to reach the top of the elevator. You can then use the crate to reach another peg that will bring you into the room with the ornament.
Below is a walkthrough for the Level 16 Signal Spike side quest in Horizaon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, speak with Minda at Camp Nowhere.
Find the Oseram Runaway
Travel to the objective west of Camp Nowhere in the mountains near a shelter.
Kill the Machines
Defeat the enemies in the area.
Talk to the Oseram
Speak with Silga at the makeshift camp.
Go to the Spike on the Cliff
Head to the top of the cliff and follow along the wire to reach the spike.
Reacquire the Signal
Climb on top of the box and use the prompt to acquire the signal.
Return to the Oseram Tinker
Head back down to Silga and speak with her. You can zipline all the way down for a bit of a shortcut!
Go to the Mountain above the Base
Head to the western outside of the Base and follow the path south.
Climb up the South Face of the Mountain
Climb up a slanted tree to reach another tree. Push this tree over and use it to cross the gap. Continue forward a short way to find some machines. Defeat them then continue up the mountain. Eventually, you’ll run across more machines. Defeat the Glinthawks then continue up the mountain.
Reacquire the Signal
Once at the top, interact with the point to acquire the signal.
Climb up the Tower
Travel to Scalding Spear and climb up the tall tower in the village.
Reacquire the Signal
Once at the top, interact with the point to acquire the signal.
Go to the Origin of the Signal
Travel northeast of the Scalding Spear near The High Turning rebel outpost. Once there, kill the machines. Afterwards, use your focus to search for the source of the signal.
Find an Entrance to the Cavern
Scan for the signal in the northeastern direction. There is a small opening in the base of a cliff between a bunch of rocks. Pry open the crackable wall across from a grapple point. Head through the hole and jump into the water. Dive under water and follow through the tunnels until you can resurface.
Loot the Crate
Just after you emerge from the water, loot the crate on your right.
Return to Silga
Pry open the nearby wall to reach the outside again then travel to Silga and speak with her.
Craft a Weapon Using the Recovered Supplies
Head to the nearby workbench and craft a Spinthorn Spike Thrower to complete the quest.
Below is a walkthrough for the Level 20 Runner’s Wild relic ruins in Horizon Forbidden West. This ruins can be found along the road southwest of Salt Bite.
Explore the Ruins
The ornament can be found in the top room of the tower. To reach it, start by pulling out the wall at the base of the structure on the northwestern side with your Pullcaster.
Head through the hole you created and take a right. Straight ahead there will be another wall to pull down from the other side. Hop on the wall to jump behind the wall then pull it down. Ignite the Firegleam here then head through hole. Grab the nearby crate with your Pullcaster to knock it off its pedestal. Push the crate through the holes you created to reach a high up ledge, which will give you access to the roof. Once on the roof, you’ll find another crate. Push it down to the southwest on the lower roof below then back down to the ground level. Next, push the crate against a part of the building that looks like a loading dock. Return to the first crate and push it on top of the second crate. Afterwards, drag the stack of crates through the hole you created with the Firegleam. This will allow you to reach the middle room of the tower where you’ll find the Altar Room Key. Grab the key then head to the locked door in the northern part of the ruin.
You can reach it by climbing over a broken section of wall. Open the door then head inside the room. Use your Pullcaster to pull out the wall. Head back to the stack of crates and drag them just outside the newly created hole. This will allow you to grab the top crate and drag it through the doorway then up the ramp along the northeastern part of the tower. From there, you can climb up to the top of the tower to retrieve the ornament.
Below is a walkthrough for the Level 15 The Dry Yearn relic ruins in Horizon Forbidden West. This ruins can be found east of Scalding Spear near the Rebel Outpost: Dry Yearn.
Explore the Ruins
Head into the ruins in the side of the mountain then use the vine cutter on a flower to reveal a crate hidden in a cubby hole. Pull out the crate and use it to reach a platform above you. From there open the blast door then head on through. On the left side of the room, pull out the crate and use it to reach the upper platform. Once there, pull the metal beams across the room down. Climb up on the blast door to reach the beams them jump across them to find the Repository Maintenance Key. Take the key back to the other side of the room to unlock the locked door via the console. Before heading through, use your Pullcaster to pull the minecar towards the blast door for later.
Now, head through the newly opened door and pull down the vent. Head on through and follow it to the front of the ruins. Ignite the Firegleam then head through the hole. Raise the blast door then pull the mine cart under the door to keep the door open. Head back through the blast door and climb up to to find a third level. Use your Pullcaster to pull a section of the wall out then head through. Drop down to obtain the ornament!

Spirit Spire
After completing The Tale of the Onyx Maiden, head to the altar on the second level of the Spirit Spire. During the cutscene, select that you do indeed want to see what lies beyond the door. When it concludes, exit the spire and enter the Spirit Realm.
Heart Domain
Once in the Spirit Realm, travel northwest near Burdenburg to continue exploring the map. Head around the northern part of the map then you’ll head south to find the Onyx Spirit’s Stela. You’ll have to interact with it in order to proceed. Afterwards, head into Land of Woe.
Land of Woe
Once in the Land of Woe, head to the southeastern corner to pick up the below chest.

Afterwards, make your way to the northeastern area to find a Lethargic Man.
Interact with him to trigger a fight with 3 The Callow enemies that have 65 HP. Defeat them then head north to find Glutton. Interact with his card to trigger a fight with 3 enemies that have 69 HP each. Defeat them then work your way towards the center of the area. Here you’ll find a familiar pair. Interact with the Crimson Maiden and her attendant.
After the cutscene, travel to the southwestern corner to find a Man Looking for Love.
Land on his card to trigger a fight against 2 The Gazing enemies that have 80 HP each! Defeat them then make your way to the northwestern corner to find a Woman in Want of Wealth. Land on her card to battle 3 enemies that have 67 HP each! Defeat them then head north to the door. Enter through the door and go up the stairs to the Land of Woe: Middle.
Once in the Land of Woe: Middle, head directly south to find a shadowy Desire. Interact with the card to begin a fight with 2 enemies that have 90 HP each! They are weak to Wind. Defeat them then head to the eastern door and proceed through it. Head to the northeastern side and interact with the butterfly shade card to trigger a fight with 3 The Turbulent enemies that have 63 HP each. Defeat them! Afterwards, continue around the northeast to find the below chest at a dead end!

Next, backtrack through the door on the western side and head through the next door in the south. Head directly south to find a shadow card.
Interact with it to begin a battle with 2 The Glaring enemies that have 94 HP each. Defeat them then make your way to the southwest side of the room to find the below chest!

Continue swinging around the circle to find the next door and interact with it to proceed forward. Head directly west to find a Man Consumed by Desire and interact with his card.
Afterwards, fight and defeat the 2 The Wrathful enemies that each have 100 HP! Upon defeating them, a new path directly to your south will open. Head there to continue forward. Continue following the path until you reach a set of stairs leading to the Depths. Enter the Land of Woe: Depths then make your way south to encounter The Torpid card. Interact with it to begin a fight with 3 of them! They all have 72 HP. Defeat them then continue exploring the area to find the below chests.

Afterwards, head to the center part of the area where you’ll find The Reptant card.
Interact with it to begin a fight with 2 of them. They both have 110 HP! Defeat them of course then continue past them to find a set of stairs and take them to arrive at the Land of Woe: Throne Room. Continue straight ahead and interact with the mysterious card.
After the cutscene, approach the Queen again to trigger a fight with an enemy that has 300 HP and likes to Freeze your party! After defeating the shadow, the queen will ask you the below questions. Answer however you’d like as all the choices are incorrect!

After the quick cutscene, you’ll be expelled from the Heart Domain.
Spirit Spire
Once you’re teleported back to the Spirit Spire, speak with Lac. Afterwards, leave the spire.
Omega Isle
After the cutscene, make your way to Omega Village. Once in the town, head up to the Elder’s House to speak with the mayor. Exhaust all the dialog options then leave the town. Make your way to the southern pier to trigger a cutscene followed by a boss fight with the Isle Eater. There will be 3 parts you need to defeat. Two have 120 HP and one has 360 HP! All 3 of the enemies like to inflict Paralysis so watch out! When the monster’s HP gets under 100, a cutscene will trigger. Afterwards, the fight will continue right where you left off. After you defeat it, speak with Greith in Omega Village. Exhaust all the dialog options to complete the chapter.
