Artifact – Lofnheid’s Whetstone
This artifact can be found along the water shortly after arriving here.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found flying above the water near the above artifact.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found after freezing the water on a water wheel then grappling across to the other side. It’s along the main path and you can’t miss it!
To open it, light the brazier next to it. To reach the second brazier, drop down to the left of the chest. Then grapple across. Light this brazier then grapple back and stop the water flowing. The next brazier will be under the base of the water wheel. Open it to receive a Horn of Blood Mead.
Lore – The Pit-Mine
From the Nornir chest, drop down to the left side of it then use the grapple point under the water wheel to jump the gap. Once you land on the other side, take a left to find it carved into the rock.
Artifact – Tool and Bang
Near the entrance to the mines, take the path heading west. This will bring you to an aqueduct that you can move using the Blades of Chaos. This will trigger the giant crane in the area to swing around. Climb on top of the block its holding then use the axe to freeze the water in the aqueduct. This will cause the crane to move back to its original position. Jump off the block and follow the path to reach the artifact.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found next to the above artifact. Open the chest to receive the Pommels of the Undying Spark.

Odin’s Raven
After exiting the railcar, head down the walkway to find the raven flying around at the end.
Artifact – Bari’s Grenade
From the raven, head down the path and hug the left to find a climbable ledge. Take a left and drop down to find the artifact under a wooden structure.
Nornir Chest
From the above collectible head back up the ledge then follow the path straight across to find the chest.
The first totem can be found to the left of the chest across the broken bridge on a rock. The second can be found diagonally from the chest on a cliffside. For the last totem, head back to the wooden walkway leading to the train car and it will be on a rock at the bottom of the walkway. Open the chest to receive an Idunn Apple.
Lore – Dear Overseer
After squeezing through a crack in the rocks, take a right and head up the mountain. Climb up the ledge on the right then head down into the sunken area where a building is to find the lore on the ground.
Lore – The Forge
This lore can be found behind the building next to the above Dear Overseer lore on a rock wall.
Forging Destiny Main Quest
The below collectibles can be obtained during the Forging Destiny main quest!
Legendary Chest
You’ll come across it along the main path of the story. Open it to receive the Atlas Eruption heavy runic attack.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found at the top of the forge on a rock overlooking the lake.
Yggdrasil Rifts
This rift can be found along the main path after you forge the spear. We had to interact with it twice as the first time a Lindwyrm popped out!
Yggdrasil Rift
This rift can be found near the Myrkr Tunnels mystic gateway.
Below is a walkthrough for the In Service of Asgard favor in God of War Ragnarok (GOWR). To obtain this favor, speak with Raeb in the tavern at Nidavellir.
Shut down Althjof’s Rig
Althjof’s Rig can be found northwest of the Lyngbakr Island in the Bay of Bounty. After you dock your boat, work your way through the area then interact with the furnace to shut it down!
Shut down Radsvinn’s Rig
Radsvinn’s Rig can be found east of The Watchtower in the Bay of Bounty. Defeat the enemies then interact with the furnace of the rig to shut it down.
Shut down Modvitnir’s Rig
Modvitnir’s Rig can be found southwest of The Watchtower. After docking your boat, work your way through the area then interact with the furnace to shut it down.
After you blow up all the rigs, the favor will complete!

Lore – Don’t Breathe
This lore can be found at the base of the bridge on the eastern part of the island.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found on the eastern side of the island under the broken bridge.
To open the chest, break the 3 seals using your axe. One seal can be found behind the geyser that is located behind the chest. The second seal can be found on the south side of the island behind a geyser. You’ll need to the south side of the rock behind the dragon statue to hit it. The third seal can be found behind the geyser on the west side of the island near where you docked the boat. Loot the chest to receive an Idunn Apple.
Yggdrasil Rift
This rift is accessible after completing the Forging Destiny main quest. It will be located on the west side of the bridge.
Buried Treasure
This buried treasure can be found on the south side of the beach near the giant skeleton after obtaining the Washed Ashore treasure map.
The Watchtower
In this area, the following collectibles can be found:

Defeat the enemies then interact with the furnace on the rig to shut it down.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found sitting on the hook of the crane at the rig.
Nornir Chest
To open this chest, use the Blades of Chaos to ignite the brazier above the symbols. One is to the left of the chest. On the south side, there will be another brazier behind a fence. Throw your axe at the flaming pot to ignite the brazier. The last can be found on the north side of the rig behind some barrels. Use the Sonic Arrows to remove the barrels then use the Blades of Chaos to ignite the brazier. Loot the chest to receive a Horn of Blood Mead.
Lore – Climbing the Ladder
This scroll can be found on the east side of the rig on the ground next to a wheel barrel and some crates.

Lore – Regarding the Removal of Resources
After docking the boat, climb up the wall then take a left, jumping over the gap heading west. Follow the wooden ramp up then climb up the chain at the end to find the lore marker.
Artifact – We Who Remain, Part the Second
From the above lore marker, face north and climb up the wall in front of you. Once you reach the top, follow the path to the left. When you reach the end, you can find the artifact on the ground next to a corpse.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found towards the western side of the creature. To reach it from the boat, you’ll climb up a wall then follow the path left. Jump across the gap then head up a wooden ramp. To the left there will be a crane. Use it to grapple across. When you land, look to the right to find a small hole you can crawl through. After you emerge, head left to find the raven. If the path near the grapple point is blocked, you’ll need to grab a firebomb past the north gate near where you started to clear it.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found after ziplining down from the tail of the creature. Open it to receive the Whispering Slab crafting component.

Nornir Chest
This chest can be found right next to where you dock the boat on the island. To open it, you’ll have to hit the three bells rapidly before the symbol shows up again. One is behind the chest. The other two are northwest of the chest. One is connected to a post that you can raise by throwing the axe at the spinning column. The other is hanging from a crane that you can destroy with a Sonic Arrow. Loot the chest to receive an Idunn Apple.
Berserker Gravestone
This gravestone can be found right next to where you dock your boat. Interact with it then defeat Beigadr The Feared.
Odin’s Raven
You’ll need to complete the Forging Destiny main quest before you can obtain this raven. Once you have the spear, you’ll be able to reach this raven flying around on the east side of the island. It will be to the left of the water wheel.
Yggdrasil Rift
*Reachable after getting spear!* This rift can be found on a wooden platform over the water after using the grapple point on the water wheel.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found on the southern island of Alberich Island through a hole in the rock.
Lore – Washed Ashore
This treasure map can be found on the southern island of Alberich Island under a small gear.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found at the top of the southern island of Alberich Island. Open it to receive a Jewel of Yggdrasil. You will have to open this chest for The Lost Treasure favor.

Odin’s Raven
After you dock your boat, climb up the chain and the bird will be in front of you slightly to your left under the wooden structure.
Lore – The Squasher
This lore can be found after slamming through the breakable floor.
Lore – Passion
After completing the rig, return to the start of the island and raise the gears to make sure the platform is all the way at the top. Jump over the gap to the right of the gear then climb up the chain there. You can then use the Blades of Chaos to swing to the grapple point on the platform then bust through the wall on the other side. The scroll can be found on your right.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found down the path from the above scroll. Open the chest to receive the Light Rune Attack.
Modvitnir’s Rig
In this area, the following collectibles can be found:

Legendary Chest
This chest can be found after climbing up the first part of the rig. Open it to receive a Muspelheim Seed Half.
Lore – Warning Lore Marker
From the legendary chest, move the crane so it’s in the southwestern gap (gap to the right of the chest). Use the Blades of Chaos to swing across then drop down to the right to find the lore marker.
Buried Treasure
After docking the boat, climb up the ledge to find the treasure.
Below is a walkthrough for The Weight of Chains favor in God of War Ragnarok (GOWR). To obtain this favor, approach Lyngbakr Island north of The Watchtower.
Find the key on the island
When facing the gate near the dock, blow up the firepot to the right then head up the path.
You’ll then be attacked by a horde of Wretches. Quickly run up the hill and destroy the nest to prevent more from spawning. Climb up the ledge then blow up the firepot. Keep working your way up to the top. At the top, you’ll have to take care of another Wretch horde. After you deal with them, use the nearby gear to lower the bridge then throw your axe at the target to freeze the bridge in place. Return to the ledge then follow it to the right to reach the top of the elevator. Slam down into the ground where its cracked then defeat the monsters inside. Afterwards, loot the chest to receive the Watchtower Key.
Bring the key to the watchtower
Next, travel south to The Watchtower. When you arrive, use the key on the locked gate then head inside and hit the drum.
Return to the creature
Travel to Lyngbakr Island then climb up to the top of the monster.
Free the Lyngbakr
Once there, you’ll have to fight off a round of enemies. Head to the eastern gate then destroy the nearby flame pot. Go inside and destroy the first chain. You’ll have to throw your axe to finish breaking the chain. Next, head to the southwestern part of the creature then follow the path to reach a chain. Climb up the chain. Grapple using the crane in front of you to reach the other side.
Follow the path and climb down the chain to find the second chain to break. Do so then defeat the nest that spawns. Use the fire bomb to destroy the gold blocking the northern path. Head back and grab another fire bomb them head down the path you just opened and throw the bomb at the gold blocking the dock across the way.
Return to your boat then head to the newly accessible dock. Climb up the side of the creature then follow the path to reach the last chain. Break it then slide down the nearby zipline. Once at the bottom, throw your axe to release the creature’s tail.
Boat to the Lyngbakr’s eye
Return to your boat then head to the left eye of the creature to trigger a cutscene. Afterwards, the favor will complete.

This lore scroll can be found in some straw diagonally from Sindri’s shop in Nidavellir.
Artifact – Griep’s Firebomb
Crawl through the tiny tunnel next to Sindri’s shop then take a left and head up the small set of stairs. Destroy the crates then enter the building to find the artifact at the end of the path.
After Forging Destiny Quest
The below collectibles can be obtained after completing the Forging Destiny main quest!
Berserker Gravestone
This gravestone can be found near the Nioavellir Beach Boat Dock. Interact with the gravestone then defeat Hardrefill the Callous.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found in the northwestern corner of town on a roof of a building just past the well. Open it to receive Luminous Recovery Handles.
Lore – Mining Glory
This treasure map can be found on the ground next to the above chest.

The Sunrise of Nothingness
Aurvangar Wetlands – When you reach the end of the area, you’ll have to lower a gate by a giant water wheel. Part of the puzzle will have you knocking down a metal cube to reach the platform above. The artifact can be found sitting on a bench next to a chest.
Large Society Ground Orb, The Performance
This artifact is located on the dock near where you docked your boat. You won’t be able to reach it until you unlock the Sonic Arrows as part of the story.
We Who Remain, Part the Second
Bay of Bounty – Lyngbakr Island – After docking the boat, climb up the wall then take a left, jumping over the gap heading west. Follow the wooden ramp up then climb the chain. Face north and climb up the wall in front of you. Once you reach the top, follow the path to the left. When you reach the end, you can find the artifact on the ground next to a corpse.
Tool and Bang

Visions After Rest
Temple of Light – After head up the lengthy circular stairwell, you’ll come to a doorway blocked by a white veil. Turn right, heading south, to find a ledge that you can jump up on. At the top of the ledge take a left to find the Kvasir’s Poem.
Spirits Within Walls
Temple of Light – After passing through the second white veiled door, look to the left to find this artifact in the small room on a table.
Celestial Construct
The Barrens – This poem can be found underneath the giant skeleton in the northeastern corner of The Barrens.
Upon Pursuing a Place Not Marked on Maps
This artifact is located in the pit of the old market area just below the Southern Wilds text on the map. To reach it, you’ll need to slam down into the slab from a nearby structure.
Trip
The Forbidden Sands – This artifact can be found at the top of a tower where the Frost Phantom spawns!
An Organization: In The Future
The Jungle – This poem can be found in a structure on the southwestern side of the area south of the Western Plains Mystic Gateway. It is only accessible at night.
Sanguinity
The Applecore – This poem can be obtained after using a spear to climb up to a ledge. Head forward until you find a grapple point. Just before the grapple point look to the left to find a breakable wall. Break the wall with your spear to find this artifact.
The Dead Do Not Ride
The Oarsmen – After you move the big chain, climb up the wall behind the nornir chest to find the artifact at the top.

Instead of taking the right fork, take the left path and grapple through a waterfall. Drop down on the left to find it on a barrel.

At the beginning of the area after stepping through the portal, head forward a little bit until you reach a fork. The raven can be found on the left at the top of the large rock.

Nornir Chest
This chest can be found in the northwestern curve of the Aurvangar Wetlands.
To open the chest, you’ll need to spin the 3 devices until the symbols match those on the chest. Those symbols look like PBN. Two of these devices can be found following the path right of the chest. The other can be found heading down the path left of the chest. You’ll climb up the ledge and it will be above the ledge. Loot the chest to receive Horns of Blood Mead.
Lore
This Lore Marker, Unsafe Roads, can be found in the northwestern curve of the Aurvangar Wetlands. After docking your boat, climb up the wooden ledge to the left and follow the path to the right. Drop down to find the Lore Marker.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found in the northwestern curve of the Aurvangar Wetlands. After docking your boat, climb up the wooden ledge to the left then follow the path to the left to find the legendary chest. Loot it to receive the Deadly Obsidian Handles!
Artifact – The Sunrise of Nothingness
When you reach the end of the area, you’ll have to lower a gate by a giant water wheel. Part of the puzzle will have you knocking down a metal cube to reach the platform above. The artifact can be found sitting on a bench next to a chest.
Hel Tear
This tear can be found in the middle of the wetlands near the dock by the first waterwheel. You’ll be able to access it after freeing the giant wolf from hell.
Remnants of Aspard
The Remnants of Aspard show up after you beat the game. This one can be found in the northern part of the wetlands. Defeat all the enemies in the area to complete it.
In God of War Ragnarok (GOWR), lore in the form of Rune Reads can be found throughout the realms! Below are the locations of these Rune Reads.
Winter-Man?
This lore can be found in the Lower Wildwoods engraved in the side of a cliff shortly after an area where you’ll have to slide down a zipline then fight a group of enemies. After you defeat them, you’ll squeeze between two cracks in a rock wall.
Tyr’s Helmet
Lake of Nine – This rune read can be found on the side of a giant helmet north of the Raider Stronghold.
Tyr’s Spear
Lake of Nine – This rune read can be found on the side of a giant weapon in the southeastern corner of the area.
Tyr’s Left Bracer
Lake of Nine – This rune read can be found near the shop and Lake of Nine Mystic Gateway.
Tyr’s Right Bracer
Shores of Nine – This rune read can be found on the side of a giant fallen metal arm near The Oarsmen.
Traitor
Vanir Shrine – This Rune Read can be found on the wall after heading past the central gate at the beginning of the shrine.
Prayer to Freya
The Abandoned Village – This Rune Read can be found on the wall of the great hall.
Vanaheim Lullaby
Freyr’s Camp – This Rune Read can be just west of the central fire on the backside of the rock.
Verdant
Eastern Barri Woods – This Rune Read can be found on a stone wall in a ruined structure along the northern path heading to the abandoned village.
Broken History
The Strond – Immediately at the start of the area, this Rune Read can be found on the statue.
Limitless
Temple of Light – This lore can be found on the right arm of a giant statue near the light puzzle where Tyr will jump on the hanging crystal so Kratos can hit it. The statue to the right is the one you want to look at. Head up the stairs and face it to find a point where you can use the Sonic Arrows to cause a grapple point to drop. Swing across to reach it!
Sacrifice
The Burrows – This rune read can be found on the wall of the cave in the area where you fight the Cursed Grim and Light Elves. It’s along the main path.
Patience
This Rune Read can be found next to a chest hidden by three growths with a red orb in the middle of them. To destroy the growths, climb up the crack in the wall near a crystal then line the orbs up and throw your axe through them all in one go.
The Forge
The Forge – After squeezing through a crack in the rocks, take a right and head up the mountain. Climb up the ledge on the right then head behind the building in the sunken area to find this lore on a rock wall.
The Pit-Mine
Jarnsmida Pitmines – From the Nornir chest, drop down to the left side of it then use the grapple point under the water wheel to jump the gap. Once you land on the other side, take a left to find it carved into the rock.
The Vault
The Applecore – From Sindri’s shop, follow the path to the end. There will be a wall you can hit with a Sonic Arrow revealing a Rune Reads on the other side.
Don’t Breath
Dragon Beach – This lore can be found at the base of the bridge on the eastern part of the island.
The Squasher
Althjof’s Rig – This lore can be found after slamming through the breakable floor.
Prayer to Hraesvelgr
Helgrind – This rune read can be found on an upper platform where you’ll have to blow up a chunk of ice in order to proceed forward at the beginning of the area.
