This is a guide on the collectibles found in The Southern Wilds in God of War Ragnarök (GOWR) for 100% area completion. In this area, the following collectibles can be found:

Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found flying around the river. Hug the left side of the area to reach it.
Artifact – Upon Pursuing a Place Not Marked on Maps
This artifact is located in the pit of the old market area just below the Southern Wilds text on the map. To reach it, you’ll need to slam down into the slab from a nearby structure.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found in an area below the tree roots on the northern side of the market area. Open it to receive the Wrath of the Frost Ancient light rune attack.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found along the main path on the northern side of the area. There will be three dials you have to spin. One can be found on a cliff to the left of the chest. With your back to the chest, look to the left to find another one. Use your Blades of Chaos to burn off the vines. The third one can be found southeast down the path you came. Head up on a rock then burn the vines on the tree to the left of it to access it. Open it to receive an Idunn Apple.
The Forgotten Sands – This treasure map can be found on the bookshelf to the right of the legendary chest on the upper level of the Elven Sanctum which is in the northeastern corner of The Forgotten Sands. The buried treasure can be found in the northern part of The Forbidden Sands to the left of the Desert Doors!
Fruits of Industry
Alberich Hollow – This treasure map can be found along the main path next to a legendary chest.
Mining Glory
Nidavellir – This treasure map can be found in the northwestern corner of town on a roof of a building just past the well. It will be on the ground next to a legendary chest.
The Giant’s Toes
Vanir Shrine – This treasure map can be found on the north side of the area where you fight the Soul Eater for the first time. It is to the right of a lore marker next to a chest.
The buried treasure can be found in the River Delta!
Under the Rainbow
Noatun’s Garden – This treasure map can be found in the northern part of the area just past the poison totems. This buried treasure can be found in the Goddess Falls!
Viking’s Gift
Raider Fort – This treasure map can be found near a tent.
The buried treasure can be found in the Lake of Nine!
Vulture’s Gold
The Canyons – This treasure map can be found next to a corpse just down the path from The Strond mystic gate.
Washed Ashore
Alberich Island – This treasure map can be found on the southern island of Alberich Island under a small gear. The buried treasure for this treasure map can be found on Dragon Beach in the Bay of Bounty!

This raven can be found in a tree next to a structure in the northern part of The Barrens.
Artifact – Horn
This Tribute to Freyr can be found in a structure on the northern side of The Barrens.
Lore – The Tower’s Purpose
This Lore Marker can be found in the same structure as the above collectible.
Lore – The Lost Pages
This lore can be found in the same structure as the above collectible.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found in the same structure as the above collectible. Open it to receive the Gauntlets of Radiance Wrist Armor.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found in the northern part of The Barrens at the base of a structure. Light the three braziers surrounding the chest. To ignite the one on top of the structure, hit the oil pot next to it. Open the chest to receive the Horn of Blood Mead.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found perched in the eye of the giant skull in the northeastern part of The Barrens.
Buried Treasure
This buried treasure can be found in the mouth of the giant skeleton on the northeastern side of The Barrens.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found underneath the giant skeleton in the northeastern corner of The Barrens. Open it to receive the Belt of Radiance.
Artifact – Celestial Construct
This poem can be found next to the above chest.
Lore – The Desert of Our Ignorance
This lore marker can be found near the above artifact.
Lore – Gulon Cull
This lore marker can be found on the southeastern side of the area in the statue circle.
Artifact – Harp
Squeeze through the narrow space just west of The Below.
Legendary Chest
This chest can be found in the same space as the above artifact. Loot it to find the Rond of Affliction shield.
Below is a walkthrough for the Secret of the Sands favor in God of War Ragnarok (GOWR). To obtain this favor, speak with Sindri at his shop in The Canyons.
Find a way to reach the pained creature
Hop on the nearby sled and follow the path northeast into The Barrens. From the entrance of The Barrens, head right hugging the wall to find a cave. Head inside then climb down to reach The Below. Follow the linear path through the cave until you reach the Hafgufa. There will be two sets of bindings that you have to destroy. Afterwards, keep heading deeper into the area. You’ll eventually reach the surface then head northwest following the objective. There will be a thing to cut to free the creature. Afterwards, the favor will complete.

Lore – Patience
This Rune Read can be found next to a chest hidden by three growths with a red orb in the middle. To destroy the growths, climb up the crack in the wall near a crystal then line the orbs up and throw your axe through them all in one go.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found along the linear path behind a gate. To reach it, head through the cave then slide down a zipline. From there follow the grapple points around. When you reach the other side, raise the wooden gate. To open this chest you’ll need to ring 3 gongs. The first is near the chest on the other side of the wooden gate. The second is across from the chest. The last one is in a window above the gong across from the chest. You’ll need to continue heading along the path until you make it through the grapple puzzle. You’ll drop down into a room and be able to sound the gong. Return to the chest and open it to receive an Idunn Apple.
Legendary Chest
This legendary chest can be found along the main path shortly after discovering the trapped Hafgufa. Open it to receive Whispering Slab x5 and Shoulder Straps of Radiance.

Odin’s Raven
While working your way through the Temple of Light, Tyr will make a way forward by creating some grapple points on hanging objects. On the other side of the room (east facing the pillar of light), turn right and head up some stairs. There will be a ledge you can drop down to on the left. Follow the path, hugging the right side to find a gate with the raven behind it. Ricochet your axe off the crystal on the rock pillar to kill the bird behind the gate. The light showing the trajectory will turn blue when you’ve lined it up with the raven.
Lore – The Bifrost Bridge
This scroll can be found in the same area as the above raven!
Legendary Chest
From the above lore scroll, there will be a ledge on the northeast side that you can drop down. Do so to find the chest straight ahead. Open the chest to receive Hades Retribution.
Artifact – Visions After Rest
After head up the lengthy circular stairwell, you’ll come to a doorway blocked by a white veil. Turn right, heading south, to find a ledge that you can jump up on. At the top of the ledge take a left to find the Kvasir’s Poem.
Legendary Chest
When you reach the second white veiled door of the temple, drop down through a broken section of railing on the left. Swing right and head through the door to reach a chain just before an elevator. Use the chain to move the elevator and the purple crystal then throw your axe at the purple crystal to break the chain allowing you to access the chest. Open it to receive the Hilt of Gram relic.
Artifact – Spirits Within Walls
After passing through the second white veiled door, look to the left to find this artifact in the small room on a table.
Legendary Chest
When you reach an open area in the temple where Tyr will jump across the gap saying he’ll meet you on the other side, drop off the ledge on the south side of the platform that your one. Follow the grapple points to the gazebo on the southeastern side of the room. There will be a hanging objected with the purple crystal on it that you’ll need to swing to the right then quickly throw your axe at it to break the crystal on the wall. You’ll then be able to reach the legendary chest containing the Rune-Engraved Release accessory.
Nornir Chest
You’ll reach a section of the temple where Kratos and Tyr make a light bridge to cross a gap. If you look to the right, you’ll spot the chest. In order to open it, you’ll need to hit the three gongs. Two are to the left of the chest and the other is down the hallway to the right. You’ll need to use the Sonic Arrow to clear the debris in front of it then ricochet your axe off the crystal to hit it. Open the chest to receive a Horn of Blood Mead.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found along the main path after fighting a group of enemies near the top of the light pillar.
Lore – Limitless
This lore can be found on the right arm of a giant statue near the light puzzle where Tyr will jump on the hanging crystal so Kratos can hit it. The statue to the right is the one you want to look at. Head up the stairs and face it to find a point where you can use the Sonic Arrows to cause a grapple point to drop. Swing across to reach it!

Lore – Broken History
Immediately at the start of the area, this Rune Read can be found on the statue.
Lore – The Living Desert
This Lore Marker can be found on a ledge overlooking the desert near the start of the area. From the magic gate, follow the path heading southeast. You’ll climb up a couple of ledges. Just before squeezing through the narrow space, look left then drop down to the ledge containing the Lore Marker.
Nornir Chest
After squeezing through the narrow space at the start of the area, drop down to find the chest.
To open this chest, you’ll need to light 3 braziers. One can be found on the ledge across from the chest. Another can be found behind the chest under a hanging lantern. The last can be found above the hanging lantern. To reach it, you’ll need to backtrack up to the main path then you can drop down and light it. Open the chest to receive an Idunn Apple.
Odin’s Raven
This raven can be found perched in a tree along the main path of the area. It will be on the left side just before a tunnel.
Artifact – Afterlife Abandonment
After you bounce your axe off the purple stuff to get the gate open, drop down to the ledge below to find the Kvasir’s Poem.
Legendary Chest
This chest will be right next to the above artifact. Open the chest to receive Skaoi’s Edge.
Nornir Chest
This chest can be found shortly after fighting the first set of elves in the area. You’ll then have to lift a giant rock to proceed. In this next area there will be two trees. It will be to the right of the right tree!
Artifact – Dream Charm
This Tributes to Freyr artifact can be found next to the above chest!
In God of War Ragnarok (GOWR), there are a total of 6 Tributes to Freyr artifacts. Below is a guide on where to find these artifacts! Please note that you’ll need to collect all of the artifacts to receive The Curator trophy!
Dream Charm
The Strond – This artifact can be found shortly after fighting the first set of elves in the area. You’ll then have to lift a giant rock to proceed. In this next area there will be two trees. It will be to the right of the right tree!
Horn
The Barrens – This artifact can be found in a structure on the northern side of The Barrens.
Token
Forbidden Sands – This artifact can be found next to a Yggdrasil Rift in the very northern part of The Forbidden Sands. You’ll need to squeeze through the narrow space to the right of the giant locked Elven doors.
Harp
The Barrens – Squeeze through the narrow space just west of The Below.
Pipe
The Burrows – This artifact can be found in the room just past the puzzle where the Hafufa was trapped next to a legendary chest.
Bracelet
The Forbidden Sands – This artifact can be found on the northeastern side of the area at the base of the Elven Sanctum (giant statue with a doorway in the bottom of it).

Lore – The Vault
From Sindri’s shop, follow the path to the end. There will be a wall you can hit with a Sonic Arrow revealing a Rune Reads on the other side.
Lore – Cooperation
After heading through a small tunnel, you’ll come to a cavern with multiple waterfalls. Jump over the aqueduct and take a right. Destroy the wooden boards at the end of the path to reveal a small room you can drop down into containing the lore marker.
Artifact – Durinn’s Stone Statue
As you progress through the level, you’ll make your way to yet another door Atreus thinks Tyr could be behind (just before The Hateful Draugr, which is part of the Born From Fire favor). Instead of taking the right fork, take the left path and grapple through a waterfall. Drop down on the left to find it on a barrel.
Legendary Chest
Enter the door next to the above collectible to find The Hateful enemy. Defeat it then loot the chest in the room to receive a Fortified Frost Knob.
Odin’s Raven
While in the mines, there will be a puzzle in the spiral section of the mines where you have to freeze some ore, allowing Kratos to get onto a moving platform to reach the other side of the room. The bird can be found near the door.
Artifact – Sanguinity
This poem can be obtained after using a spear to climb up to a ledge. Head forward until you find a grapple point. Just before the grapple point look to the left to find a breakable wall. Break the wall with your spear to find this artifact.
