Below is our walkthrough for Chapter 7 of The Gunk! Objects that you can scan for the encyclopedia are in the pinky purple font color! Remember that if you scan all the available items in The Gunk, you’ll earn the Space Archeologists achievement! Please also pick up all the materials that you find as you explore the area. You’ll need these materials to unlock upgrades for Pumpkin (your hand device). If you obtain all the upgrades, you’ll receive the All In achievement!
Press forward through The Wasteland. Look for the blue fumes signaling that an energy pool is there. When you see the gunk around the pools of energy, clean it up. Make sure you avoid the wandering Gunk Beasts as you are in no state to fight. When you reach the last energy pool, you’ll see a pipe.
Follow the pipe to the archway in the distance. As you cross the bridge, you’ll transition to the Depleted Quarry. Head forward a short way to stumble across a shriveled creature. Next to this creature on the pipe, you’ll find a hatch. Use Pumpkin to pull the bolts off. A cutscene will trigger. Afterwards, continue following the path. When you reach the top, another cutscene will trigger.
After the cutscene concludes and you are returned to the Campsite, the chapter will conclude.
