How to Start Atop the Plateau
Location: Honolulu / Anaconda at the PC Store in the Anaconda Shopping Center
This substory becomes available after completing substory 41 Sodachi’s Revenge. Before attempting, you’ll want to level your Sujimon up to level 50 and reach Sujimon League rank 50. Once that’s done, head to the Anaconda Shopping Center and make your way to the PC Store on the 2nd floor. Speak with guy behind the counter to gain access to the stadium. There you’ll want to speak with the guy with an S on his face behind the desk on the right side choosing “Battle King” to officially begin the substory.
Become a Sujumon Master!
After a brief introduction, the match will begin against Kind and his team with an average level of 48. You can also find his party layout below:

Reserve: Light (48) / Shadow (50) / Blaze (50)
Once you defeat King, a cutscene will playout leading to a fight with 3 level 31 Committee Agents. They use guns and are weak to electric based attacks. Once you defeat them one last cutscene will trigger leading to the completion of the substory!
Rewards: Dragon Soul Bat (5 star) / Sodachi can now be incited to Dondoko Island
Welcome to NGB and our Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Sodachi’s Revenge Substory guide! Here we’ll cover how to start this substory and what you’ll need to do in order to take down Joker!
How to Start Sodachi’s Revenge
Location: Honolulu / Little Japan on the east side of Fuji St
To start this substory you’ll first need to complete substory 40 A True Gym Battle. Once that’s been done, level up your Sujimon League rank to 35. This will cause Kasuga to get a message from Joker. Head to the dojo on Fuji St then enter the dojo to officially start the substory. After a cutscene, you’ll have to wait a bit for Sujimon Sensei to find the location of Joker’s hideout.
Rank Up!
While you let sensei do his thing, you’ll want to continue fighting Gold Rank Sujimon Trainers to reach rank 40. After doing that, he’ll message you saying he found Joker’s location. Return to the dojo for a quick cutscene, then you’ll be free to head to Joker’s hideout.
Take Down the Joker!
Travel to Shipper’s Warf at the southwestern part of Honolulu to reach the docks. There you’ll find the entrance to Joker’s hideout. Head inside to be thrown into battle with Joker’s men. You’ll have to do 3 consecutives fights where your Sujimon won’t be healed. Their average party level is 35 so make sure you are prepared. You can find the layouts of their teams below:

After defeating all 3 waves of opponents, you’ll start the fight with Joker.

Once you defeat Joker, head to the back of the hideout to check on Kuraki and Yokawa. This will lead to an actual fight against Joker and a trio of his minions. They are all level 11 so they shouldn’t be too hard to defeat. You can use fire based attacks to deal extra damage to his minions. After they have all been taken care of, one last cutscene will trigger leading to the completion of the substory.

How to Start A True Gym Battle
Location: Honolulu / Little Japan in a condo on the eastern part of Fuji St
To start this substory, you’ll first need to complete substory 39 The Queen’s Subilee then get your Sujimon rank up to 30. Once you’ve done that, the Sujimon Professor will message Kasuga that it’s time to take on Ace of the Discreet Four. Travel to his base in the condos at east end of Fuji St in Japantown then approach the entrance to trigger an event that will officially kick off the substory.
Time to Take Down Ace!
When it ends, enter the gym to start a cutscene where your group will challenge Ace’s dojo. As with the other fights, you’ll have to take on a pair of disciples before you can face Ace. Speak with the first one on the right side of the dojo and challenge him to a battle.

After defeating the disciple, you’ll have to face Ace’s Captain next. Speak with him and challenge the man to a battle.

How to Start the Queen’s Subilee
Location: Honolulu / West Aloha Beach on the far western side reachable by swimming
To start this substory, you’ll first need to complete substory 38 The CEO of Suji then you’ll need to raise Kasuga Rank to 20. You can do that by battling bronze rank trainers. After reaching rank 20, the Sujimon Sensei will message Ichi telling him that he’s ready to face Queen of the Discreet Four. To reach her base, you’ll need to travel to West Aloha Beach then follow along the beach going west past the Crystal Aloha Resort. Once you gone as far as you can go, hop in the ocean and swim west. This will bring you to a secluded pool area which also happens to be Queen’s base. Head inside the pool area to trigger an event officially starting the substory.
How to Complete the Substory
During a cutscene, Queen will approach the group. In order to face her, you’ll need to take down a couple of her followers. Start out by heading to the west side of the pool and speaking with Sara to challenge her. Defeat her to move procced with the substory. Her party layout can be found below.

Once you defeat Sara, head to the east side of the pool the speak with and challenge Layla. Defeat her to continue on with the substory. Her party layout can be found below.

With both of the followers out of the way, you are now free to challenge Queen. Head to the back of the pool to find Queen then speak with and challenge her to a battle! How to Start the CEO of Suji
Location: Honolulu / West Waikiki – At the Regal Jack Resort on the west end of Aloha St
To kick off this substory, you’ll need to reach Rank 10 in the Sujimon League. To do this, you’ll need to battle other Rookie Trainers and defeat them. Once it’s high enough, the professor will message Kasuga that he’s ready to challenge Jack of the Discreet Four. Go to the Regal Jack Resort on the west end of Aloha St in West Waikiki and approach the entrance to trigger an event starting the substory.
Take Down the CEO of Suji
After the initial cutscene ends, enter the Regal Jack Resort to trigger another cutscene where Jack will say he’s too busy to accept just anyone’s challenge. Instead, you’ll have to take on two of his most precious underlings, starting with the Section Chief. You can find his party layout below:

After defeating the Section Chief, you’ll have to face the manager next. Speak with him when you’re ready to start the battle. You can find his party layout below:

Following Jack’s downfall, another cutscene will trigger completing the substory.

Welcome to NGB and our Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Coming Out of Her Shell substory guide. Here we’ll cover how to start the substory and what you’ll need to do in order to complete it.
How to Start Coming Out of Her Shell
This substory becomes available after unlocking the Poundmates app during the main story. Travel to East Aloha Beach making your way to the center of the area (more on the eastern side). As you approach the area a cutscene with Nancy will trigger during which our beloved Nancy falls in love with a flash crab. Once the cutscene concludes, the substory will start.
Help Love Blossom!
After some time has passed, return to the beach to find the flashy hermit crab. Interact with it then select “Have fun, girl” when prompted. After the scene plays out, set out for the corner of Sakura St and Momo St in the northwestern corner of Little Japan (close to Resolve Bar). Near the building with the columns, there will be some bushes with flowers growing next to them. Interact with the flowers to allow Nancy to pick one out then take it back to the hermit crab on the beach.
As you approach the hermit crab, another cutscene will trigger where some kids are messing with the crab. You’ll then be prompted to throw Nancy at them. Move the slider up so that its a normal throw then let her fly! She will then scare them off finally breaking the ice with the hermit crab. Afterwards, head north down Resort Blvd to find a group of guys near Mocha Mahalo. Interact with them to overhear how they are planning to rob the shell from the crab.
Return to the beach and approach the spot where the hermit crab was to trigger a cutscene. This will lead to a Personality Chance where you’ll have an opportunity to level one of several stats. See the list below as to which choice increases which stat. Regardless of the choice, you’ll still have to fight a trio of level 9 Crab Hunters. After defeating them another cutscene will trigger leading to the completion of the substory.

Welcome to NGB and our Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Beach Guardian substory guide. The Beach Guardian substory line is composed of 3 substory’s all related together and each one can be found listed below along with what you’ll need to do in order to complete them.
How to Start the Beach Guardian Substory
In order to start the substory, you’ll need to travel to East Aloha Beach along the southern part of Honolulu. Once you’re there, dive into the ocean and approach the substory marker on the map in the center of the accessible ocean.
16 Beach Guardian: Water, Water Everywhere
A cutscene will start in the ocean near the center of the area where Kasuga sees a person drowning. Raymond quickly arrives and asks Ichi to help save the swimmer. As the cutscene ends, Ichi, intrigued by lifeguard work, offers to help, and Raymond tasks him with giving out bottles of water to the people on the beach within 3 minutes. Keep an eye on your mini-map while searching the beach. Blue dots on the map indicate people you can talk to. Look for those mentioning feeling dizzy or having red cheeks. After handing out all 10 bottles of water, another cutscene will play, completing the subquest.
Rewards: Resurrection Bolus which revives a fallen ally with all of their HP
17 Beach Guardian: No Kidding Around
Location: Honolulu – East Aloha Beach at the Lifeguard Shack
To start this substory, you need to finish substory 16 Beach Guardian: Water, Water Everywhere first. After some time, go back to the beach to find Raymond in front of one of the Lifeguard shacks. Talk to him to trigger a cutscene and choose “Help out” when prompted.
After agreeing to help, a lady will run up in a panic, saying her daughter Emmy is missing. She’ll describe the girl: wearing a red swimsuit and straw hat with a blue ribbon, and six years old. To find her, go east along the beach to the Swimsuit Changeroom. Emmy will be leaning against a tree to the right of the surfboard racks, past a tower of inner tubes. Talk to the girl, and she will confirm she’s Emmy, mentioning that she lost her mom while chasing a hermit crab. Kasuga will then escort her back to her mom.
Soon after, a Panicked Woman will show up asking for help finding her missing son Billy. He was last seen wearing white swimwear with an orange baseball cap and is 10 years old. To find him, head west along the beach to find the boy playing in the sand. Speak with him to confirm he’s Billy, and Kasuga will escort him back to his mom. This will lead to a cutscene, and the substory will be completed.
Rewards: You’ll receive the Heartful Golem comic that will increase Kasuga’s kindness stat.
18 Beach Guardian: Heroes of the Sand
Location: Honolulu – East Aloha Beach at the Lifeguard Shack
To kick off this substory, you’ll need to finish substory 17 Beach Guardian: No Kidding Around first. After completing that, wait a bit and then go back to the Lifeguard Shack to find Raymond. Talk to him to start the substory and choose “Can I pitch in?” when asked.
This time, Kasuga is put on trash duty… until a thief swipes a woman’s wallet! Being the hero he is, Ichi will chase after the thief, leading to a sequence where you have to hit button prompts to avoid people and objects on the beach while going after the thief. Once you catch him, a cutscene will play, and Kasuga will return the wallet. As a reward, Raymond will treat us to a cool drink!
After some time passes, Ichi will wonder why Raymond is taking so long and will head to the juice cart to look for him. Go west along the beach past the Lifeguard Shack to find him being hassled by the same thugs from before. Approach them to trigger a cutscene that leads to a fight against the group of level 10 Bothersome Tourists. Take care of them to trigger another cutscene and complete the substory.
Rewards: You’ll be rewarded with some Infrared Goggles

How to Start the Saved by Kindness Substory
Travel to East Waikiki then head across the street from the Makani Ave taxi stand. Look for the man kneeling on the sidewalk wearing a yellow shirt.
Help Out Yellow Shirt
Head across the sidewalk from the Makani Ave taxi stand and you’ll spot a man in a yellow shirt getting worked up. Chat with him to kick off a cutscene, then choose “Help him find his hotel” when prompted. This will lead to them talking to random people in search of the Beachside Hotel. After striking out, they’ll come across a Hula Girl who’s able to lend a hand and show our new friend Sawai the way. We’ll need to check on in later!
Check Up On Sawai
Head over to Pizzeria Felice at the southwest corner of East Waikiki after some time has passed. As you approach, a cutscene will be triggered with Sawai. Choose the “Yeah, sure” option when prompted. Sawai will then dash across the street to the restaurant, where a couple of strange events will unfold. When they finally arrive at the restaurant, select “The lei girl?” when prompted to earn some kindness points. After that, Sawai will head out on his own once again!
Check Up On Sawai… Again!
Head back to Pizzeria Felice to start a cutscene, then talk to Sawai afterward. When given the choice, pick “Tell him the truth.” He’ll let Kasuga know that he’s aware it’s a scam but isn’t bothered by it. After that, Sawai will leave.
Check Up On Sawai Once More! (and then Some!)
Wait for some more time to pass, then head back to Pizzeria Felice to initiate a cutscene with the Hula Girl. Once it’s done, you’ll have to wait again. After the time has passed, go back to Pizzeria Felice to see another cutscene between Sawai and Kiana. During this, Kiana will run off and Sawai will chase after her. Follow them to Ayame St. in Little Japan where a cutscene will be triggered, followed immediately by a fight against 4 Threatening Men. Take them all down to trigger one last cutscene, finally completing the substory.
Rewards: You’ll receive a Happy Lei which increases items obtained from battle.
Obtained:Chapter 15 – Speak with Sumire at Romance Workshop
The first time you speak with her, hand over 1 bonsai. The second time you’ll need to hand over 5 bonsai. In order to speak with her a third time, you’ll need to have level 10 Passion. Once you’ve achieved that, speak with Sumire and hand over 10 bonsai. In order to proceed with the next part, you’ll need to have maxed out the shop. When you do, exit the shop to trigger a cutscene that leads to a battle. Defeat all the enemies.

After you speak with her, head to Survive Bar and talk with her again.
