Below are the locations of the music discs in Chapters 15 & 16 of Final Fantasy VII Remake!
Chapter 15
5. Lurking in the Darkness
Purchase the disc for 50 gil from a vending machine in the Central Tower – 1F on 65 M Above Ground Level in the Collapsed Sector 7 Plate. You can access this area during The Crumbling Building objective in The Path to Greater Heights main scenario.
Chapter 16
31. Scarlet’s Theme
Interact with the Jukebox next to the coffee shop in the Combat Simulator Lounge in Shinra Electric Power Company to find the disc.
Obtained: Speak with Ms. Folia near the Children’s Secret Hideout in the Sector 5 Slums
Objective: Find the children
Head to the Slum Public Cemetery northeast of Center District in the Sector 5 Slums to find Oates and speak with him. Defeat the Phantoms that spawn to find the children and complete the quest.
Chocobo Search
Obtained: Speak with the Stablehand in Center District of the Sector 5 Slums near the path leading to Wall Market
Objective: Find the 3 Chocobos
If you head to Wall Market, you can speak to Sam at his Delivery Station to find out that the Chocobos were spotted in Sector 5 Back Alleys, Collapsed Expressway and Old Church.
1. Chocobo
One Chocobo is located in the Collapsed Expressway – Old Bypass. To reach this Chocobo, enter the expressway from Evergreen Park in the Sector 6 Slums and work your way through the expressway until you come across the Chocobo. Defeat the group of enemies that spawn then interact with the Chocobo.
2. Chocobo
Another Chocobo is located along Nuts ‘n’ Bolts Hills north of the Center District in the Sector 5 Slums. Interact with it then defeat the Rust Drake that spawns. After you defeat the drake, interact with the Chocobo again.
3. Chocobo
The last Chocobo is located on Sanctuary Way in the Sector 5 Slums, which is northwest of Undercity Station. Interact with the Chocobo.
After you find all the Chocobos, return to Sam at his Delivery Station in Wall Market and speak with him to complete the quest.
Malicious Goons
Obtained: Speak with Madam M by her massage parlor in Wall Market
Objective: Stop the goons
Travel to the battle arena near Aerith’s house in the Sector 5 Slums to stop the goons! Defeat the Tonberry to make the Hoodlums submit, thus completing the quest.
Wavering Heart
Obtained: Speak with Andrea in the Wall Market Gym
Objective: Defeat Andrea in a pull-up contest!
Interact with Andrea to begin the challenge. Defeat him to complete the quest! *NOTE: In order to obtain the Peeress of Pull-Ups trophy, you will need to beat Andrea, Ronnie, Jay and Jules in the pull-up challenges.
The Power of Music
Obtained: Speak with Betty in Wall Market near the Jukebox behind the Family Hotel
Objective: Give her 3 music discs
Betty only accepts certain music discs. After you obtain each of the below discs (click the link on the discs to find the exact locations), interact with the Jukebox then select the following music discs:
After you play all the music discs, a cutscene will trigger and the quest will complete.
Secret Medicine
Obtained: Speak with the Doctor in the Center District of Sector 5 Slums
Objective: Obtain items on the Doctor’s list
Behemoth Horn – Complete the Subterranean Menace side quest
Moogle’s Mortar – Purchase from Moggie for 1 Moogle Medal in the Sector 5 Slums Children’s Secret Hideout
Medicinal Flowers – Located in the church north of Sanctuary Way in the Sector 5 Slums
Once you collect all the items, return to the Doctor in the Center District of Sector 5 Slums and speak with him to complete the quest.
Tomboy Bandit
Obtained: Speak with Johnny at the Undercity Station in the Sector 5 Slums
Objective: Retrieve Johnny’s wallet
*NOTE: This quest will be done concurrently with the Corneo’s Secret Stash side quest.
Travel to the church north of Sanctuary Way in the Sector 5 Slums to find Kyrie. Speak with her then head to the Colosseum in Wall Market. Speak with the Gatekeeper to begin the special match then defeat the two enemies. Once you defeat the enemies, return to Kyrie and speak with her to obtain Johnny’s wallet and complete the quest. For the trophy, head back to Johnny at the Undercity Station in the Sector 5 Slums and speak with him to hand over his wallet.
Corneo’s Secret Stash
Obtained: Speak with Damon in Sector 5 Slums
Objective: Reveal the identity of the Guardian Angel
*NOTE: This quest will be done concurrently with the Tomboy Bandit side quest.
Travel to Lookout Point in the Sector 5 Slums and loot the Corneo’s Vault Note on the blue tarp behind Mireille then speak with her. Head to the church north of Sanctuary Way in the Sector 5 Slums to find Kyrie. Speak with her then head to the Colosseum in Wall Market. Speak with the Gatekeeper to begin the special match then defeat the two enemies. Once you defeat the enemies, return to Kyrie and speak with her again to obtain the key. Once you obtain the key, speak with Mireille to obtain clues on the locations of the secret doors in the Collapsed Expressway, near Angel’s Hideout and in the Sewers.
1. Treasure Trove
For the first bunch of treasure, make your way to the Collapsed Expressway Caved-In Tunnel in the Sector 6 Slums near the northern Sam’s Delivery Station and look for the fancy gate. Open it to loot the treasure!
2. Treasure Trove
For the second bunch of treasure, head directly north of the Sam’s Delivery Station in Steel Mountain, which is in the Sector 6 Slums, and look for the fancy gate. Open it to loot the treasure!
3. Treasure Trove
For the last bunch of treasure, you will gain access to the Sewers after meeting up with Leslie again. Once inside the Sewers, make your way to Former Disposal Area in the Old Trunk Line – Control Section of the Sewer System. The way beyond the fancy gate will be flooded so you’ll have to first drain the water before you can loot the treasure. In a room just past the Abzu’s lair (deeper in the Sewers), there will be a lever that you can use to drain the water. Head back to the treasure trove and grab all of the items.
After looting all the treasure troves, talk to Marle who is in the Evergreen Park in the Sector 6 Slums.
Subterranean Menace
Obtained: Speak with Wymer in Evergreen Park in the Sector 6 Slums
Objective: Defeat the monsters in Shinra’s Underground Test Site
From Evergreen Park in the Sector 6 Slums, head to the Power Substation by using the entrance next to Wymer. Follow the tunnel to the end to reach the Underground Test Site where you’ll hear a faint roar in the distance. Make your way through the test site until you reach the Type-B Specimens – Isolation Zone on Underground Lab B5 where the Type-0 Behemoth awaits. Defeat the monster then return to Wymer and speak with him to complete the quest.
Purchase for 50 gil from the Item Shop in the Sector 6 Slums Evergreen Park.
14. Main Theme of FFVII
Purchase for 50 gil from a vending machine in the Break Room of the Underground Test Site – B1. This is during the section of the story where you play as Barret.
Below are the side quests/odd jobs in Chapter 9 of Final Fantasy VII Remake!
Burning Thighs
Obtained: Speak with Jules at the gym located in southwestern Wall Market
Objective: Win the competition!
Compete against one of the other gym members in a squatting competition and emerge victorious to complete the quest! *NOTE: In order to get the Sultan of Squat trophy, you will need to complete the squat challenge with each of the 3 buff dudes.
The Price of Thievery
Obtained: Meet with the Stablehand and Mireille in front of a barn across from Sam’s Delivery Service near the entrance of Wall Market
Objective: Hunt the bandits
Travel to the Collapsed Expressway Utility Tunnel, which is just past Evergreen Park. In the tunnel, you’ll come across the 3 Stooges: Beck, Burke and Butch, plus a new Grungy Bandit. Defeat all the enemies then return to Mireille to complete the quest.
Shears’ Counterattack
Obtained: After completing both of the above side quests
Objective: Defeat the Machine
Head back to Madam M’s to run into the Gatekeeper, triggering a cutscene. Make your way to the Colosseum and take the elevator down to the basement. Speak with the Gatekeeper again to begin the battle with the Jury-Rigged Cutter. Defeat the machine then exit the arena and speak with Madam M to complete the quest.

Chapter 9
22. Cosmo Canyon
Purchase the disc for 50 gil from a vending machine located in the Collapsed Expressway – Large Cave-In. This disc will be after the second time you have to use a crane to transport Aerith to a ledge to drop down a ladder.
8. Under the Rotting Pizza
Interact with a Jukebox along a chain-linked fence behind the family hotel in southern Wall Market.
10. Honeybee Inn
Purchase the disc for 50 gil from the Pharmacy to the right of the neon bar in the square of Wall Market.
17. Farm Boy
Speak with the Cowgirl in front of Good Luck in the northwestern part of Wall Market. She will give you the disc!
29. The Midgar Blues
Speak to the Singer in Yoidore, which is located along the southwestern part of Wall Market, to obtain his disc.
26. Let the Battles Begin! – REMAKE
This disc is acquired during the dance tutorial in the Honeybee Inn before your appointment with Andrea. You will have to get 10 greats during the practice in order to unlock the disc. You can keep retrying by repeating the practice.
11. Don of the Slums
Purchase the disc for 50 gil from a vending machine in the Forbidden Room of Corneo’s Mansion after the story segment where Cloud and Aerith get gassed.
Below are the side quests/odd jobs in Chapter 8 of Final Fantasy VII Remake! *NOTE: These side quests will become available after saving the two children.
The Mysterious Moogle Merchant
Obtained: Speak with Moggie the Moogle who is wearing a Moogle outfit at the hideout
Objective: Purchase membership
After speaking with Moggie, you will need to buy a Moogle Membership Card for 1 Moogle Medal to complete the quest.
Kids on Patrol
Obtained: Speak with Ms. Folia at the Leaf House
Objective: Retrieve 5 children wearing swords on their backs
First child – At the entrance of Center District near the road to Station Way
Second child – Near the entrance to the Children’s Secret Hideout
Third child – In front of the Weapons Shop
Fourth child – In a break in a tunnel south of the school past the Community Center
Fifth child – In front of the Community Center
After finding the 5 children, head back to the school and speak with Ms. Folia. This will trigger a cutscene resulting in Cloud taking a job at a discounted price. Make your way to the Children’s Secret Hideout and follow the path to the end of Specter Street to encounter the Hedgehog Pie King and his loyal subjects. Defeat the enemies to complete the quest.
Weapons on a Rampage
Obtained: Speak with the Scared Man on Station Way
Objective: Defeat 5 Shinra Weapons
Travel to Nuts ‘n’ Bolts Hills northeast of Center District. Make your way through the area to a dead end in the Scrapyard Back Alley to find a group of 3 Mark II Monodrives. Defeat them then head to large open area in Twilight Valley to find the second group of 2 Mark II Monodrives. Once all of the enemies have been defeated, return to the Scared Man and speak with him to complete the quest.
A Verified Hero
Obtained: Automatically after completing the Kids on Patrol side quest
Objective: Participate in the game!
Speak with Sarah in the Children’s Secret Hideout and agree to play Wack-a-Box. The goal of this game is to destroy as many boxes as you can! The target score is 10,000 points. Play the game once to complete the quest. *NOTE: There are two trophies involving this mini-game. For the Crate Annihilator trophy, you will need to get 30,000 points in one round of Whack-a-Box. For the Whack-a-Box Wunderkind trophy, you will need to complete all hard difficulty Whack-a-Box challenges.Â
The Angel of the Slums
Obtained: Given by Oates in the Children’s Secret Hideout after completing most of the other side quests
Objective: Collect information on the slums’ Guardian Angel
Speak with Damon who is standing in front of the community center then head inside the community center and speak to Mireille who is standing next to the door. Afterwards, head back and speak with Damon to trigger a cutscene. Travel to Lookout Point in the northeastern part of the map to find the Chromogger. It’s weakness is electric so give it all you got and defeat it! Once the battle is over, search the table in the fighting area to find the Guardian Angel’s calling card. After you collect the card, return to Damon and speak with him to complete the quest.
Paying Respects
Obtained: Automatically after completing the Weapons on a Rampage side quest
Objective: Visit the graveyard
Speak with the Old Man outside the Weapons Shop. Buy the graveyard key off of Moggie for 1 Moogle Medal then proceed to the graveyard locate along Nuts ‘n’ Bolts Hills. Use the key to unlock the door then defeat the monsters inside. Be forewarned that they will poison you and are weak to ice!! Once you defeat them, return to the Old Man and speak with him to complete the quest.
The Cleanup Crew trophy in Final Fantasy VII Remake requires you to obtain the Chocobo & Moogle materia.
During the Chapter 6: Light the Way main mission, you’ll be tasked with shutting off three sunlights to power a cargo platform on the way to the Mako reactor. After doing this, face the Mako reactor then take a right heading west into a lift. Use the lift to cross the gap leading to a platform. Climb up the ladder on this platform to enter a small break room with a console and vending machine. Interact with the console to power down the fans in the maintenance tunnel. You will have 60 seconds to clear the enemies in the next room and interact with the console in that room. This will open the door leading behind the giant fans where you can find the materia (pink dot in map above).
