Welcome to NGB and our Shin Megami Tensei V (SMTV) walkthrough on the Konan Blocks (4th, 3rd and 2nd) areas. Here you’ll find everything you’ll need to easily breeze through these areas. Please note that this guide has been updated to reflect the original SMTV content along with the new additions from SMTV Vengeance!
Press forward down the long path in Shinagawa Pier towards the objective. As you approach a set of train tracks, Amanozako will ask a question. We selected “They help you get around.”
SMTV Vengeance: A husk can be found next to the overpass leading to the next area. Interact with it to receive an Aogami Husk Type 4 Essence.
Keep following the train tracks to trigger a cutscene. You’ll then be in Konan 3rd Block! Passing the leyline will trigger another brief cutscene and Amanozako will leave the party.
SMTV Vengeance: Directly north of the leyline, you’ll find Hare of Inaba. Interact with it to acquire the Brawny Ambitions II subquest.
Make your way to the demon power absorption statue in the southeastern part of Konan 4th Block just before the Abscess.
Approach the Abscess to trigger a fight with a Level 32 Basilisk. It’s weak to Electric and resists Ice. It also inflicts poison. Defeat it then head to the Mitatebashi leyline. After you unlock it, take some time to explore the area to find the below!

When you’re ready to progress with the story, head to the bridge west of Mitatebashi leyline to trigger a cutscene. It will lead to a fight against a Level 32 Fionn mac Cumhaill. He blocks Light and Fire and is weak to Electric. He also uses Fire, Ice and Physical skills.
After you defeat him, make your way to the Abscess in the middle area by following the northern path around. Approach it to trigger a fight with 3 Level 35 Baphomet. They are weak to Light and resist Dark. They also use Fire attacks.
With the Abscess defeated, head west toward the objective to trigger a cutscene just past the Konan 2nd Block leyline. With the map unlocked, explore the area to find the below items!
SMTV Vengeance: Next to the Konan 2nd Block Leyline, speak with Onyankopon to begin the Tough Love subquest.

The demon power absorption point can be found in the northeastern part of the area.
When you’re ready to progress to the next area, follow the objective down the long narrow path in the southwest to reach Gotenyama.
