Below is a walkthrough for the Find My Mommy task in Rune Factory 5.
Client: Hina
Objective: Find Hina’s mother
As part of the main story, you’ll stop by The Blue Moon where a dialog event occurs. You’ll learn that Hina had a dream about her mother. Being the amazing helper you are, your character will promise to find her. Exit Rigbarth through the eastern gate then follow the path south, fighting the enemies along the way to reach the Whispering Woods. As soon as you reach the woods, a dialog event triggers. When it concludes, grab the nearby chest to obtain a Recovery Potion and Small Shield. Make your way east through the woods to reach a clearing with a group of enemies. Defeat them then follow the path south to find another group of enemies.
After taking care of them, take the northeastern path. This will bring you to another clearing with some bug enemies. Defeat them then loot the nearby chest to receive some turnip seeds and recovery potions. Return to the previous area then take the southwestern path to find a chest containing a Rod. Again return to the previous area this time following the path southeast through an archway of plants. This will bring you to another area with bug monsters. Take care of them then head south. Defeat the enemies here then loot both chests. Return to the previous area then head east. Here you’ll have to fight two goblins. After the battle, a chest appears with a rune inside.
Continue heading east to reach the Whispering Woods Depths. Make your way to the big open area to trigger a cutscene leading to a boss fight against the Nine-Tailed Fox. The gimmick for this fight is to listen for the bell sound that goes off just before it attacks. After defeating the fox, another cutscene triggers. When you regain control of your character, return to the Silo and report to Captain Livia.
