This is our walkthrough for the fifth main story mission in Pokemon Legends: Arceus called A Request from Mai! Below you’ll find each objective for the mission and how to complete them so expect to find some spoilers.
Meet Akari/Rei at the training grounds
The first thing you want to do is turn in any requests you may have completed and visit the pasture to switch out Pokemon. When you’re ready, head to the training grounds on the northwestern part of the village and speak with Akari/Rei. This will lead to a battle against them and their Level 9 Pikachu. Defeat them to trigger a cutscene.
Go to the Obsidian Fieldlands to meet Mai of the Diamond Clan
Head for the northeastern gate and speak with Ress to travel to the Obsidian Fieldlands. Head south past Aspiration Hill and cross the bridge to trigger a cutscene. You’ll then be challenged to a battle against Mai and her Level 10 Munchlax. After you win, she’ll heal your Pokemon and give you 5 Vivichokes.
Make your way to Deertrack Heights, where an alpha Pokemon is causing trouble
Travel southeast from Deeptrack Path to reach Mai in Deertrack Heights. Approach her to trigger a cutscene where Mai will heal all of your Pokemon.
Battle the alpha Pokemon causing trouble upon Deeptrack Heights
Approach the Level 12 Alpha Kricketune to start the battle. Use fire and flying type moves to weaken it then catch it with a Poke Ball. Once the fight is over, a cutscene will trigger and the mission will complete.
