During Chapter 6 in Lost Judgment, head to the MRC and speak with Amasawa to begin the Curse of the Amasawa Family Heirloom side case. Before you begin this case, please note that you must finish this quest before you’ll be able to do anything else.
When you’re ready, exhaust all the dialog options then make your way to Plage on N Isezaki Rd. After the cutscene, you’ll receive the Unlucky Cat. With the cat in tow, head over to Ebisu Pawn on W Bayside St. and speak with the Shopkeep. Once the fire is put out, you’ll need to press L3 then look at the shiny gasoline ring on the ground in front of the shop. Head west a short way to find a plastic bottle on the sidewalk.
Next up will be a game of darts! After your game, make your way to the MIRAI Batting Center on Carriage Hwy. Once inside, a cutscene will trigger and you’ll begin the batting minigame. After batting, follow the objective to the back door of the batting center. Once outside, equip a disguise so the perp won’t recognize you! Approaching him will lead to a battle. Defeat the Suspicious Man for a cutscene to trigger. Examine the collar and the eyes. Afterwards, exhaust all the dialog options for the case to close.
