Below is a walkthrough for the Nightmare Welling side mission in Ghostwire: Tokyo. To obtain this quest, speak with the spirit at Chishima Shrine.
Cleanse the two wells
Head to the first search area to find the well then defeat the enemies around it. Afterwards, use the hand seal to purge the well. You’ll then be on a time limit to make it to the other well, defeat the enemies there, then seal it. Make a beeline to the well and get it done! The timer is on the top left of the screen next to the objective.
Speak with the old man
Return to the spirit whom you accepted the quest from and speak with him to complete the quest.
