Astria Ascending – Capricorn Temple

by Chappie in

This is a guide for the Capricorn Temple side quest in Astria Ascending.

Obtained: Given to you automatically as part of the story from Yuno in Chapter XI.

Rewards: This quest has no rewards.

Investigate Amalthea’s statue

Head to the Broken Bridge in the Grand Canyon and head west through five areas to reach the Capricorn Temple. Enter the temple and head east to trigger a cutscene followed by a fight with Amalthea, The Capricorn Astrae. Defeat it! In the first form, it’s weak to air, resists water, nullifies dark and drains earth. In its second form, everything is the same except its weakness changes to lightning.

Explore the Capricorn Temple

Work your way through the area. When you reach the puzzle where you have to move the cart along the track, use the earth power of the Zodiac Ring to summon a statue and place it on the cart to get it moving. Quickly jump down and stand on the platform to stop the fire, allowing the cart to pass through. Keep doing this until you reach the sealed door at the bottom. You’ll need to switch places with the statue using the alternate power. Do this just as the cart goes over the switch so Ulan will drop down onto it opening the door. Keep following the path east, working your way through the area until you reach the last area where a cutscene will trigger as you approach a man. Afterwards, the quest will complete!

Astria Ascending – Sagittarius Temple

by Chappie in

This is a guide for the Sagittarius Temple side quest in Astria Ascending.

Obtained: Given to you automatically as part of the story from Yuno in Chapter XI.

Rewards: This quest has no rewards.

Find Fedorah in the Blazing Fields, fly to the Sagittarius Temple and investigate Helicon’s statue

Fast travel to the Road Between the Dune at the Blazing Field then head through the western door. You’ll then want to enter the door on the top west side of the map. Use the earth power in the Zodiac Ring to reach a set of platforms that will lead to the door. Continue making your way through the area to reach Fedorah. Interact with it to start the flying minigame. When it ends, you’ll be at the Sagittarius Temple.

Once at the temple, approach the statue to start a fight with Helicon, the Sagittarius Astrae. The first two transformations are weak to physical and ice, resists air, nullifies light, and absorbs fire. The third transformation is weak to dark and ice. The rest is the same. The fourth transformation is only weak to dark. For the fifth transformation, it gains resistance to physical.

Explore the Sagittarius Temple

When you enter the main temple, work your way east. In the farthest room to the east, you’ll have to reach the top level of the platforms and shoot the device on the west side of the room with the Zodiac Ring. You’ll then need to quickly run through an open gate on the east side of the room to step on a floor switch. Return to the main entrance and now the wall of light will be gone allowing you to progress further west in the temple.

When you reach the Room of Honesty fast travel point, you’ll want to head up to the top level of the room then head through the northeastern door. Head through the next area to reach a room with another stone gate on the left side. Jump up the platforms to the right of the door and keep following them up to find a device in the top central part of the room. Shoot the device with the Zodiac Ring. This will activate some moving platforms below. Use the platforms to head to the east side of the room, making your way to the giant hanging lantern in the center of the area. Shoot it with the fire power of the Zodiac Ring, causing it to drop to the ground below. This will open up 2 platforms that you can drop the 2 giant blocks in the area on. Doing so will open the sealed gate on the west side of the room. Head through the gate and step on the floor switch then return to the Room of Honesty and continue heading west until you reach the Prayer Room. There will be a couple of puzzles along the way, however, it is fairly linear.

Talk to the Awisi

Approach the Awisi in the Prayer Room and speak with them to trigger a cutscene and complete the quest.

by Chappie in

This is a guide for the Aquarius Temple side quest in Astria Ascending.

Obtained: Given to you automatically as part of the story from Yuno in Chapter XI.

The first 2 forms are weak to earth and water, resist lighting and nullifies air. The third form is weak to water and physical, resists fire, earth, light, ice, dark, nullifies lightning and drains air. The final form is weak to earth, water, dark, resists fire, nullifies physical and air and drains lightning. Defeat it!

Explore Aquarius Temple

Make your way through the temple. It helps if you complete the Libra Temple first as you’ll get an upgrade to the air power of the Zodiac Ring. This power is helpful to glide across the air currents! Otherwise, use the earth power to summon a statue on the air current then quickly jump on it to get across the gaps. Follow the temple until you reach the Prayer Room. It’s pretty linear on how to get there!

Explore the Scorpio Temple

Approach the Zibani statue to trigger a fight with the Zibani, the Scorpio Astrae. It has 7 transformations you’ll have to get through to bring it down. For the first two, it resists water, nullifies physical and drains ice. For transformation 3 to 6, it’s weak to fire, resists water and nullifies ice. For the last phase, it’s weak to physical and drains everything else. After you defeat it, continue through the temple heading for the prayer room. Towards the end, you’ll come to a big open room with multiple doorways with the way forward is at the far east side of the room past a long stretch of water. In this room, you’ll want to move the ice block from the right side of the room to the left. You’ll do this by using the wind power of the Zodiac Ring. When you get the ice block to the top level on top of the wooden platform, head to the left side of the map to find a pedestal. Hit it with the Zodiac Ring to drop the wooden platform causing the ice block to fall. This will allow you to move the block to the gap on the left side of the room raising the water on the right side. Walk across the water and head to the doorway. Keep heading forward until you reach the Prayer Room.
