Below is a walkthrough for the Resident Quest called Go Fetch Some Rare Nuts in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. This quest can be found on the bulletin board in the Plaza after completing The Cost of Good Manners main quest. To accept it, head to the Town Outskirts and speak with Mannan.
Gather 5 Nuts in the Great Forest
Nuts can be found in the Great Forest in the area between the Forest Cave and Great Tree Blade. They appear as shiny objects on the ground. After you collect 5 Nuts, return to Mannan in the Town Outskirts to speak with him and complete the quest.

Speak with Isha in the Plaza
Head left and speak with Isha in the Plaza near the bulletin board.
Find Sarita on Outlander Lane
Head right to the newly accessible Outlander Lane just past the crumbled clock tower. Once in Outlander Lane, head right a short ways and speak with Sarita.
Find Rajiv on Outlander Lane
After speaking with Sarita, continue right to find Rajiv near the end of this area.
Get Lightweight Lumber in The Great Forest
Once in The Great Forest, make your way to the Forest Cave signpost. Head right to the next area. Continue right until you come across a large enemy with a quick tutorial. Defeat the creature then loot the item on the ground behind it to receive the Lightweight Lumber.
Mine for Heavy Stone in the Great Forest
After retrieving the above item, head right a short way and pick up the item on the ledge marked by an !. With both items in your pouch, return to Sarita in Outlander Lane. Speak with her to trigger a dialog event.
Report to Isha in the Plaza
Make your way over to the Plaza and speak with Isha to complete the quest.

Head to the crumbled Clock Tower
Make your way right down the hill to reach the Plaza. Once there, continue right and speak with the old man standing in front of the clock tower pile to meet Shiva.
Find the Great Tree in The Great Forest
Travel to The Great Forest then keep heading right. You’ll go through a map transition and past a signpost. At the second map transition, a dialog event will trigger. When it concludes, continue heading right, going through yet another map transition. Save at the signpost if you’d like then continue to the !. A dialog event will trigger again proceeded by a boss fight. Defeat the giant tree!

Find Priya’s dad in the Residential District
Head to the newly opened Residential District, which is just to the left of Isha. Speak with the first person you come across to meet Ganesh. You’ll receive the Axe Lv. 1 and Healing Potion Lv. 1.
Gather Lumber from The Great Forest
Head to The Great Forest. Once there, keep heading right until you find a wooden barrier with an ! behind it. To break the barrier, press X then continue forward to the ! to receive a tutorial on Jump Attack. Look for the shimmering trees as shown below while defeating the enemies and cut them down using X.
With the lumber gathered, return to Ganesh in the Residential District.
Head down the hill to your lodgings
Head to the right and approach the ! to trigger a dialog event. Afterwards, the quest will complete.

Find townsfolk who need your help
In the Plaza, head right of Isha and keep going until you have spoken with the following people: Priya, Old Woman, Girl and Boy. After speaking the with Boy, you’ll be able to go to The Great Forest.
Find Yum-Yum in The Great Forest
Head right of the Plaza to reach the Town Outskirts. Take the middle path here to arrive in The Great Forest. In the first area of The Great Forest, you can interact with the signpost to save your game. Head right, fighting the monsters as you go, until you reach an exclamation mark. Interact with it to find the cat. A dialog event will also trigger and the quest will complete.

Find the Acting Mayor in the Plaza
When you gain control of CJ, you’ll already be in the Plaza. Head a little to the left to find a girl with blue hair and an exclamation point above her. Interact with her to complete the quest.
In Road 96, you’ll have to search for tapes in order to earn the Collect ’em all trophy. Below are where we found these tapes.
Smells Like Teen Spirit
During Smells Like Teen Spirit, you’ll receive a tape from Zoe after completing her minigame with the musical instrument.
During Smells Like Teen Spirit, speak with the teen sitting on the ground behind the giant rock in the trailer park to purchase a tape for $10.
Crusin’
Hitch a ride in the limo. After you clear the protest, move the pillow on the seat next to you to reveal a tape.
Walking in my Shoes
During Walking in my Shoes, you’ll meet Alex in a phone booth. After you receive the computer with a metal detector on it, use it to search the ground to dig up a tape.
No Concession
When you’re in the car with Annie, Geoff and Zoe, tell Zoe that you totally like her music to receive a tape.
Beep Boop Beep
Purchase a tape for $10 from the teen sitting outside the diner.
Enjoy the Silence
Wait for Jarod to exit the taxi to “change the tire”. When he does, lean up to the front seat and steal the tape from the passenger seat.
Nobody’s Supposed to be Here
Once starting this segment, follow the path until you come to the ruined building in the woods. To the right of the building, you’ll spot a chair next to a rock with a fishing pole leaning on it.
Reel in the fishing pole until you can’t reel it in any more. Take the tape from the bucket in the water.
Video Killed the Radio Star
When heading down the road to reach the rally, there will be a blue car with white racing stripes along the cliff.
Open the door then eject the tape from the cassette player.
Teenage Dirtbag
When riding in the car with Alex, look down and to the right to find the tape between the door and the seat.
Some Like it Hot
Purchase a tape for $10 from the boy sitting on the side of Super Supper.
Worlds Apart
When in the car at the very beginning, look behind you in the back seat to find a tape. Do this before changing the radio station.
Thieves in the Temple
A tape can be found in the safe in the closet of the security room.
Something in the Way
Speak with the teen in the back seat of the patrol car. Be nice/understanding to receive the tape.
I’ve Seen That Face Before
Enter the hotel and speak with the lady behind the counter. She’ll ask you to take the bottle of champaign up to Sonya’s room. After picking up the tray, you’ll receive an employee card. Use that card to access the room just past the counter. Inside, it will be in the second locker. You’ll need a lockpick to open the locker.
Police Academy
To initiate this encounter, we found some car keys (for us it was in a locker) and then stole a car. The tape was in the console under the radio.
Roll With It
Purchase this tape for $10 from the teen in the parking lot to the right of Palavas.
Praying for Time
At the beginning, eject it from the cassette player in the car.

Earn all the below trophies to trigger this one!
Cat Person Trophy – Pet the cat in the trailer park
In Episode 1: Smells Like Teen Spirit, speak with a women sitting in a chair in front of the trailer near the entrance to the trailer park.
Afterwards, pet the cat, which will earn you the trophy!
A Light in the Darkness Trophy – Blow the fire
During Smells Like Teen Spirit in Episode 1, you’ll enter a trailer park. Speak with Zoe who is sitting on the roof of a trailer then make your way to the cardboard and go to sleep. When you wake, head up the path and sit with Zoe near the campfire. When speaking with Zoe, she’ll hold her hands to the fire to warm them. When she does this, look down at the base of the fire next to her shoe to see the blow on fire prompt. Interact with it to trigger the trophy!
Collect ’em all Trophy – Collect all tapes

Almost There? Trophy – Reach Road 96 for the first time
This trophy is obtained automatically as part of the story after you reach Road 96 for the first time.
Stone After Stone Trophy – Add at least 3 rocks on Road 96’s cairn
This cairn can be found in the cave near a waterfall. You must add a rock to the cairn. You’ll have to do this a total of 3 times to earn the trophy!
Road Pals Trophy – Meet Zoe for the first time
This trophy is obtained as part of the story in Episode 1 when you first meet Zoe in the trailer park.
Help a Friend Trophy – Help Zoe escape from the cops

Old Pro Trophy – Reach Road 96 for the sixth time
This trophy is obtained automatically as part of the story after reaching Road 96 six times.
Hard Choice Trophy – Make a hard choice in crossing the border
This trophy is obtainable during Zoe’s last encounter. When you’re trying to cross the border, you’ll run into Zoe on Road 96. She’ll then accompany you to the cave just before the border. After the cutscene, head forward towards the other end of the cave where a boulder is blocking your path. Interact with it to move the giant rock. Retrieve the Walkman from the ground. You’ll then meet Zoe again at the border. Follow her back to the tent and agree to cross the border with her. You’ll also need to give her the Walkman. When you guys escape, Zoe will fall down while you’re being chased by the authorities. You’ll then be offered the choice to either leave her or save her. Making your choice will cause the trophy to trigger.
During the No Concession in Road 96, you’ll be traveling in a car with Annie, Geoff and Zoe. When Road Patrol pulls you over, Zoe will get arrested and you’ll have the option to stay in the car or help her escape. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to help her escape. If you stay in the car, you’ll be driven to a diner and can continue with the story.
When you find Mitch and Stan at the hideout during Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here, they’ll ask you for the date the killer is going to attack Sonya.
