Below is a walkthrough on the main story quests in Chapter 5 of Atelier Ryza.
The Manmade Island: 1
Travel to the eastern part of Treppe Hill. The group will then decide to split up to look for the keyhole. For your part, you’ll need to head to the southeastern part of the Secluded Farm, central western part of Kurken Port and finally back to the eastern area of Treppe Hill to examine all of the stone statues. Once you’ve explored all the places, a cutscene will trigger and take you back to the atelier. At the atelier, you’ll need to synthesize the Pynnor Key from the recipe you’ll automatically learn. To make the recipe, your alchemy level must be 39. You’ll also need a Holy Drop, which can also be synthesized. To make a Holy Drop, you’ll need to follow along the recipe chain. Start with Flour to unlock Poison Cube then use the Poison Cube to unlock Taboo Drop. Once you have the Taboo Drop, use it to unlock the Holy Drop!
The Manmade Island: 2
Head to the stone monument on Treppe Hill with the Pynnor Key to trigger a cutscene. You will then need to proceed down the newly revealed steps underneath the monument and begin exploring Kurken Bunker. After the long cutscene, return to the atelier to process everything with the group.
The Manmade Island: 3
Meet Tao in the Heart of the Island at Kurken Bunker. Afterwards, head to Brunnen Manor on Treppe Hill to speak with Bos.
Getting Ready: 1
Travel to the atelier and wait about 3 days for a cutscene with Tao to trigger. After the cutscene, you’ll automatically be given the recipe for Super Steel Gears. To repair the desalination devices, you will need to synthesize 3 Super Steel Gears with a quality of at least 100. Once you’ve obtained the items, deliver them to Tao in Kurken Bunker.
Getting Ready: 2
Travel to the atelier and wait about 3 days then head to Boundary Cathedral in the Hidden Cove to stop the Philuscha attack! Defeat the enemy near the gate then return to the atelier.
