Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Side Story: Taion

Below is a walkthrough for the Side Story: Taion hero quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. To obtain this quest, listen in on the conversations around Ascension Grounds during Chapter 6 then head to the rest spot (agree to be teleported to the Inlet Camp) and discuss The Sea topic. Riku and Manana are required to be in your party for this quest!

Travel to Colony Lambda and approach the objective to trigger a cutscene during which you’ll obtain the Isurd’s Request information. Head to the canteen and agree to be transported to the Lambda Shelter rest spot then discuss the topic. Next, return to Isurd and speak with him.

For the next task, you’ll need to head on over to the Cadensia Region. The closest fast travel point to the objective is the Third Pillar Remnant landmark on Lavi Sandbar. Make your way to the objective on the far northeastern side of the map. Once there, a cutscene will trigger. When it’s over, continue heading up the hill and follow the path through the cave until you reach the objective. The cutscene will lead to a battle with three Level 54/55 Auto-Lev Vanguard. Defeat all the enemies then continue heading through the cave to reach the objective. Once there, a cutscene will trigger. Yet again, continue forward through the cave to trigger another cutscene where you’ll find the Lost Colony.

After you gain control, follow Nimue into the Lost Colony then speak with Stella. Next, head further into the colony to trigger another cutscene. When it concludes, make your way for the next objective to trigger a cutscene. Continue forward a short way to reach a Ferronis in the water. Afterwards, you’ll need to gather the following materials:

• 5 Fluid Crankers
• 3 Monochromagnetite
• 3 Cube Chip
• 9 Ether Cylinders

For a guide on where to find these materials, click here! Once you’ve gathered the materials, approach the Ferronis to trigger a cutscene. When it concludes, fast travel to the Rujah Headwaters landmark then head west towards the objective. After the cutscene concludes, head to the objective near the entrance of the cave to trigger a battle against Level 56 Moebius V. Defeat him to complete the quest.
