Below is a walkthrough for the New Developments standard quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. To obtain this quest, listen in on the conversation at Colony Lambda during Chapter 6 to receive the Colony Lambda Defenses then head to a rest spot to discuss this topic.
For the first task, head to the entrance of Colony Lambda then speak with Varen. When you’re ready, fast travel to the Old Way Camp rest spot in the Pentelas Region. Once there, make your way west up the ramp to trigger a cutscene. After it concludes, fast travel to the Myma Gate, which is west of your current location, then head to the objective. Upon your arrival, a cutscene will trigger. When it concludes, fast travel to the Aquifer Exhaust landmark then proceed a short way towards the objective for yet another cutscene. Return to the Old Way Camp rest spot then make your way to the objective. With your tasks done, return to Colony Lambda and speak with Varen to complete the quest.
