After completing Phase 5 of building Dorrick, make sure Valdi is in your party then approach the ? in Colony 30 to trigger a cutscene. This will trigger the I’m a Mechanic hero quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Please note that Valdi is required to be in your party for this quest.
For the first task, fast travel to Colony Lambda then speak with Isurd. Afterwards, make your way to the objective on an island in the middle of the Pentelas Region. When you arrive, defeat the three Level 42 Forin Ansel then return to Colony Lambda and speak with Isurd again.
Once the cutscene concludes, return to Colony 30 and speak with Yuzet. You’ll then be tasked with traveling to Colony 4. Do so then speak with Solon. Afterwards, fast travel to the Glam Rock landmark then head slightly southeast to reach the objective where a quick cutscene will trigger followed by a fight against with Level 42 Forin Skeeter. Defeat five of them then fast travel to the Colony 30 Cave Mouth landmark to trigger another cutscene. Once it completes, head into Colony 30 then speak with Yuzet to complete the quest.
