Below is a walkthrough on The History Lesson side quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. To obtain this side quest, speak with Henkel in the Rooftop School which is in the southwestern corner of Trinity.
Reach the memorial square
Head southwest into Houndfield to reach the objective.
Investigate the square
Examine the 2 plaques on the stone monument. Next, face the monument then turn right and head past the generator. On the right side of the walkway there will be a tree with bullet holes. Use your senses to interact with it.
Light the candle at the monument
Return to the monument and light the candle above the plaques to complete the quest.
