Horizon Forbidden West – First to Fly Errand Quest

Below is a walkthrough for the Level 32 errand quest called First to Fly in Horizon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, speak with Serivva at The Bulwark after completing The Broken Sky main quest, however, you won’t be able to progress with this quest until after completing The Wings of the Ten main quest.

 

Fly to the Mountaintop

Travel to the objective north of Stone Crest.

 

Recover Ferikka’s Armor

The armor can be found at the below locations.

 

Breastplate

 

Greaves

 

Mask

 

Bracers

While searching for the armor, a Stormbird will attack you. Defeat it and loot it to obtain this piece.

 

Return to Kettah and Serivva

Travel to the Bulwark and speak with Kettah and Serivva.

 

Repair Ferikka’s Armor

Head to the nearby workbench to craft Ferikka’s armor, which will complete the quest.

Horizon Forbidden West – Shining Example Errand Quest

Below is a walkthrough for the Level 32 errand quest called Shining Example in Horizon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, speak with a Rumor at a campfire.

 

Talk to Marallo at Arrowhead

Travel to Arrowhead and speak with Marallo.

 

Gather a Horus Energy Cell

Travel to the objective in the south to retrieve the energy cell from the back of the Horus.

 

Fly to the Mountaintop

After collecting the cell, travel to the next objective to the northwest.

 

Kill the Machines

When you approach the mountaintop, you’ll spot a bunch of machines. If you collected the energy cell, drop it onto them. Defeat all the machines (including the Dreadwing that spawns after you defeat the others that are already there)!

 

Find the Greenshine

Once the area has been cleared out, open the metal flower then destroy the vines around the flower to find the Greenshine under it. Gather it to complete the quest!

Horizon Forbidden West – The Way Home Side Quest

Below is a walkthrough for the Level 32 side quest called The Way Home in Horizon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, speak with Kristia and Harriem on a ship at Legacy’s Landfall, however, you won’t be able to make progress in this quest until after completing the Wings of the Ten main quest.

 

Fly to the Shipwreck

Travel to the objective east of Legacy’s Landfall on your bird.

 

Kill the Machines

If you’d like, kill all the machines in the area to make searching easier or just sneak past them.

 

Search the Shipwreck for the Gyrocompass

Located the ship on the east side of the island.

 

Search the Scrap Piles for the Gyrocompass

Loot the scrap piles near the wrecked ship. It will have a purple marker sticking out of it. We found ours under a broken bridge.

 

Return to Harriem and Kristia

Make your way back to Legacy’s Landfall and speak with Harriem and Kristia.

 

Go to the Ancient Shipwreck Site

Travel to the objective on the southwestern side of the Isle of Spires to find the shipwreck.

 

Search the Site for Shipwrecks

One battery can be found in a shipwreck on the beach near the Slaughterspine.

Another ship can be found jetting out in the water. Dive under the water to find the batteries laying on the ocean floor under the ship. Inspect the antenna on this ship to search for the sensor unit.

 

Go to the Coordinates of the Transmission

Travel to the objective in the northern part of the Isle of Spires near the Vista Point.

 

Kill the Dreadwing

Once there, defeat the Dreadwing flying overhead.

 

Gather the Sensor Unit

Fly to the top of the wrecked ship and inspect the antenna to pick up the sensor unit.

 

Deliver the Parts to Harriem and Kristia

Return to Legacy’s Landfall and speak with Harriem and Krisita to complete the quest.

Horizon Forbidden West – Tides of Justice Errand Quest

Below is a walkthrough for the Level 32 errand quest called Tides of Justice in Horizon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, listen to a Rumor at Lowland’s Path.

 

Talk to Cragella at Tide’s Reach

Travel to Tide’s Reach along the western coast then speak with Cragella on the western side of the village on a dock. This quest will be placed on hold until The Wings of the Ten main quest has been completed.

 

Search West of Tide’s Reach for the Raiders

Fly west of Tide’s Reach towards the objective at a small island in the southeastern part of the search area.

 

Talk to the Raider

Land on the tiny island and speak with the person.

 

Fly to the Top of the Tower to the West

Head west past Legacy’s Landfall to find the tower at the objective. If you go at night, you can see the fire in the tower, making it easier to spot.

 

Kill the Raiders

Defeat the rebels in the tower to complete the quest.

Horizon Forbidden West – The Souvenir Errand Quest

Below is a walkthrough for the Level 30 errand quest called The Souvenir. To obtain this quest, speak with Jomar in Legacy’s Landfall.

 

Search North of Landfall for the Quen Scouts

Travel to the northern part of Landfall to the objective then examine the corpse on the sand next to a building. Afterwards, follow the tracks to find some machines on the beach and defeat them. Examine the corpse near the ruins where the machines were. Next, scan for tracks using your focus and follow them to reach the tower. Climb up to the top and examine the corpse.

 

Return to Jomar

Head back to Jomar and speak with him to complete the quest.

Horizon Forbidden West – Forbidden Legacy Side Quest

Below is a walkthrough for the Level 30 side quest called Forbidden Legacy in Horizon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, speak with Alva during the Gemini main quest after speaking with Beta.

 

Go to Legacy’s Landfall

Travel to Legacy’s Landfall, which is on the far western side of the map on the Isle of Spires. Call Alva at the Campfire.

 

Follow Alva to the Research Facility

Follow behind her until she stops at a beach!

 

Search the Ruins of the Data

As you approach the ruins, a giant machine will spawn.

 

Kill the Slitherfang

Defeat the machine!

 

Search the Ruins for the Data

After defeating the Slitherfang, continue your search of the ruins. Scan the ruins to find a vent that you can pull out. Interact with the vent to open it then proceed through the water. Make your way to the upper floors to find a Holo Projector and interact with it.

 

Follow Alva to the Atbay Headquarters

Follow behind her until you reach the ruins of a nearby building.

 

Find an Entrance to the Atbay Headquarters

Use your Pullcaster to pull out the wall near where Alva is standing then work your way up the shaft until you reach a window at the top. When Alva asks how you’re going to get across, use your Pullcaster to pull down a metal beam across the way. Head across it then shoot the ladder to cause it to drop. Sneak past the Glinthawks as you continue to make your way up.

 

Jump to the Tower

At the top, walk across the thin beam then pull out the debris and jump to the tower.

 

Search the Headquarters for Data on Leviathan

Scan the Passcode Reminder Reset Datapoint next to the door. There is another datapoint called Useless to the left of the door in the little nook. Use the code of 102023 to unlock the door. After just passing through the door, look on the right to find the AGI Log: 10/1/47 Datapoint. When the datapoint finishes playing, the door will unlock.

 

Climb up to the Ancestor’s Office

Continue making your way up to the top of the building to find the top of an elevator shaft. Ignite the Firegleam to send the elevator down to Alva. Afterwards, scan the Prototype Device, Award Statue, Sculpture and Construction Drone in the room. Use the code of 402625 to open the door. Interact with the Holo Projector to complete the quest.

Meet Ikkotah at the Edge of the Forest

Travel to the Campfire west of the Stand of the Sentinels Tallneck then speak with Ikkotah.

 

Follow Ikkotah

Follow behind him until he stops after spotting some machines.

 

Kill the Machines.

Do as the objective says!

 

Talk to Ikkotah

Speak with him to complete the quest.

Go to the Entrance of the Valley of the Fallen

Travel to the objective south of Fall’s Edge.

 

Talk to Ivvira

Speak with her up on a ledge.

 

Go to the Valley of the Fallen

Follow the path along the mountain to reach the Valley of the Fallen then head inside.

 

Go to the Waterfall

Follow the path, passing the dead machines, until you reach the objective.

 

Kill the Machines Near the Waterfall

Defeat the machines wandering around the waterfall!

 

Search for a Lure near the Waterfall

Approach the top of the waterfall to find the lure.

 

Override the Lure

Interact with the lure to override it!

 

Go to the Area South of the Horus

Head southwest towards the next objective.

 

Kill the Machines near the Horus

Defeat the large machines in the area near Horus.

 

Search for the Lure near the Horus

The lure can be found under a rock overhang with a tree on the top.

 

Override the Lure

Interact with the lure to override it!

 

Go to the Third Lure’s Location

Travel east to the third lure’s location.

 

Kill the Machines

Defeat the machines in the area!

 

Override the Lure

Interact with the third lure to override it. It is located under a rock archway.

 

Talk to the Wounded Tenakth

Speak with Yivekka at the base of the cliff.

 

Kill the Machines

Defeat the enemies that spawn!

 

Talk to Ivvira

Speak with Ivvira near the wounded soldier to complete the quest.

Investigate the Camp

Use your Focus and examine the blood and a jar of oil.

 

Follow Garokkah’s Tracks

Follow the trail until you reach a machine fighting someone.

 

Kill the Machine

Defeat the Clawstrider!

 

Talk to Garokkah

Speak with him.

 

Follow Garokkah

Follow behind him to the squad in peril, defeating the machines along the way.

 

Talk to Garokkah

Speak with Garokkah near the memorial.

 

Scan the Memorial

Use your Focus on the memorial.

 

Follow the Tracks

Follow the tracks to find some machines.

 

Kill the Machines

Defeat the enemies.

 

Recover the Memorial Marker

Loot the scavenger scrap piles until you find the marker. Look for the purple marker sticking out of one.

 

Give the Marker to Garokkah

Return to Garokkah and speak with him.

 

Return to Fenirra

Travel to Tide’s Reach and speak with Fenirra to complete the quest.

Horizon Forbidden West – The Gate of the Vanquished Side Quest

Below is a walkthrough for the Level 15 side quest called The Gate of the Vanquished in Horizon Forbidden West.

 

Meet Jetakka at the Gate of the Vanquished

Travel to the Gate of the Vanquished, which is southwest of Scalding Spear near the Tallneck, and speak with Jetakka. During the cutscene, you’ll have to side with either Yarra or Drakka. This choice is your personal preference. Whoever you don’t side with dies.

 

Defeat Yarra or Drakka (whoever you didn’t side with)

Defeat your opponent to complete the quest.
