In order to pass through the giant portrait of Lady Dimitrescu in the Atelier, you’ll need to “Let the 5 bells of this chamber ring out.” To do this, you must shoot the 5 bells in this room. The locations of the bells are as follows:

1. To the left of the painting of the angels holding the 5 bells
2. On a pendulum in the wall swinging back and forth by the gears
3. On a case across from the angel painting
4. On top of the chandelier
5. Climb up the stairs and look out the window to find the last bell outside

Shoot all the bells to open the hidden door and proceed to the Attic.
