Below is a walkthrough for the Level 15 side quest called A Tribe Apart in Horizon Forbidden West. To obtain this quest, speak with the Rumor at Plainsong after completing The Eye of the Earth main quest.
Talk to the Veteran at Stone’s Echo
The veteran can be found next to the campfire at Stone’s Echo. Speak with Jaxx.
Follow Jaxx
Follow behind Jaxx.
Enter the Cave
Enter the cave to trigger a cutscene.
Follow Sokorra
Follow behind her.
Go to Riverwatch
Pass through the archway.
Kill the Machines
Defeat the machines in the area.
Talk to Jaxx and Sokorra
Speak with the two of them for some banter.
Enter Riverwatch
Use your Pullcaster to pull out the section of wall near the objective then head inside.
Loot the War Chest
Head into the back right wall and use the ladder to reach the upper level of the structure. Continue working your way to the top of the structure. Look for a hanging platform and shoot the ropes holding it up to cause it to drop into the building below. Head down to the destroyed section of the building and pull out the giant cube using your Pullcaster. Drag it to a nearby brick wall below a climbing peg. Head up and follow the path to reach the top of the tower. Open the cache at the top and loot the supplies.
Find Jaxx and Sokorra
Follow the objective north, chasing after the pair.
Kill the Machines
Defeat the machines near the remains of a building.
Talk to Jaxx and Sokorra
Head over to Jaxx and Sokorra to speak with them.
Return to Eagle Squad
Head back to the cave where you first met Sokorra.
Talk to Jaxx and Sokorra
Speak with the pair again to complete the quest.
