In Pokemon Scalet and Violet, you’ll take part in a Treasure Hunt that takes you across the Paldea region to learn things that can’t be taught in the classroom. The Path of Legends is one of the main three branches of the Treasure Hunt that tasks you with hunting down giant Titan Pokemon guarding a mysterious ingredient that fellow student Arven is in search of. Below is a guide on the Path of Legends covering all 5 titans you’ll have to face and what happens afterwards.

Cheesing the Titans

If you are having difficulties with the titans or simply want to fly through them so you can unlock all of the mount abilities for Koraidon or Miraidon then there is a way to cheese the titan fights. All it requires is some slight preparation on your part. Step 1 is to catch a Nacli with the sturdy ability. Once you’ve done that, raise it up to level 24. This will cause the Pokemon to evolve into a Naclstack and learn the move Salt Cure. Make sure you teach it that move as it’s needed for the cheesing. The last step is you’ll need to buy a good amount of healing items that can heal Naclstack up to full health with one use. Look at super potions, lemonades or energy roots depending on your Pokemon’s HP. The basic strategy for this cheese is that you’ll face the titan using Naclstack. On the first turn, use the Salt Cure move which deals damage to the opposing Pokemon each turn. Afterwards, just keep healing Naclstack back to full. That way after getting his, sturdy triggers each time preventing it from fainting and allowing you to heal it back up to full health.

Stony Cliff Titan

The Stony Cliff Titan is the easiest of the titan Pokemon. Make sure you have some Pokemon in the mid-teens before taking it on. To start, travel to South Province (Area Three) east of Mesagoza. Once you’re there, make your way to the northeastern part of the area just before Artazon. As you approach the objective maker on the map, keep an eye out for a giant crab-like Pokemon clinging to the side of a cliff. Approach it then follow it up a small path. Before engaging the giant Klawf, make sure you have some grass or water Pokemon as Klawf is a rock type. Battle the Klawf and it will flee when its health gets low.

Chase after it down the cliff to trigger an event leading to another fight with a buffed Stony Cliff Titan. This time Arven will show up and fight alongside you. Once you defeat Klawf a second time, another event will trigger and your legendary companion will gain the dash mount ability.

Open Sky Titan

The Open Sky Titan can be found in the northwestern part of West Province (Area One). You’ll want to make sure to bring some electric, rock or ice Pokemon with you and that they are in the low 20s. Head up the mountainside while dodging the balls rolling down it. Once you get past that, an event will trigger leading to a fight with Bombirdier, the Open Sky Titan. When its health gets low, another event will trigger during which Bombirdier will get a buff and Arven will show up to help you out. Defeat the bird Pokemon a second time for one more event where your legendary mount will gain the swim mount ability.

Lurking Steel Titan

The Lurking Steel Titan can be found in East Province (Area Three) northwest of Levincia on the east side of Paldea. This one is a steel type, so make sure to bring a fire, ground or fighting type Pokemon with you and make sure it’s in the mid 20s. Make your way to the mines that the titan called home then head for the marker on your map. It will lead you to the specific tunnel you’ll need to head through to find the Lurking Steel Titan. As you approach it, the worm-like creature will move. Keep following it until you finally start the battle with Orthworm, the Lurking Steel Titan. The creature will flee through a nearby tunnel once its health gets low.

Chase after the giant Orthworm and keep following it until an event triggers. Arven will arrive and enter the fray as the two of you face down a newly buffed Lurking Steel Titan. After emerging victorious a second time, another event triggers ending with your legendary lizard gaining the High Jump mount ability.

Quaking Earth Titan (Scarlet)

To take on the Quaking Earth Titan, you should try to have some Pokemon in the early 40s as this beast can hit hard. Travel to the Asado Desert on the west side of Paldea between Porto Marinada and Cascarrafa. Once there head to the west side of the desert to locate Great Tusk. Approach it to start a battle and make sure you bring grass and psychic Pokemon with you as it’s a ground / fighting type. After you get its HP low, Great Tusk will flee to the southwest.

Give chase and engage Great Tusk again. This time it will have a buff and you’ll be joined in battle by Arven. After taking down the primal Pokemon for a second time, an event will trigger and your legendary buddy will unlock the glide mount ability.

Quaking Earth Titan (Violet)

To take on the Quaking Earth Titan, you should try to have some Pokemon in the early 40s as this beast can hit hard. Travel to the Asado Desert on the west side of Paldea between Porto Marinada and Cascarrafa. Once there head to the west side of the desert to locate Iron Treads. Approach it to start a battle and make sure you bring water / fighting Pokemon with you as it’s a ground / steel type. After you get its HP low, Iron Treads will flee to the southwest. Give chase and engage Iron Treads again. This time it will have a buff and you’ll be joined in battle by Arven. After taking down the primal Pokemon for a second time, an event will trigger and your legendary buddy will unlock the glide mount ability.

False Dragon Titan

The last of the 5 titans can be found on one of two islands connected by a sandbar along the east side of Casseroya Lake in the northwestern region of Paldea. Make your way there the head to the southern tip of the southern island. You should find a Tatsugiri fish with the text “Taitaaan!” above its head. Interact with it to trigger an event leading to a battle against Dondozo, the False Dragon Titan. For this fight, you’ll want to make sure you bring a grass or electric type as the Pokemon is a water type. After you get its health low, Dondozo will flee to an island to the east.

Chase after the titan. As you approach the island it fled to, an event will trigger. Arven shows up and the two of you are attacked by a buffed False Dragon Titan. After finishing off the titan, another event will trigger leading to another battle with a surprise water / dragon Pokemon. With both titans defeated, another event will trigger resulting in your legendary friend gaining the climb ability.

Head to the Lab

Once you have defeated all five of the Titan Pokemon, the professor will contact you asking that both you and Arven head to the lab. Travel to the Poco Path Lighthouse and approach the door to the left of the ladder leading up to the top of the lighthouse to trigger an event. When it ends, head outside and speak with Arven to challenge him to a Pokemon battle.
