Octopath Traveler II The Scent of Commerce

In Octopath Traveler II, The Scent of Commerce is a questline available for Partitio. Below is a walkthrough for these quests! Please note that you can complete them in any order!

Sai Route

Legendary Merchant Masoud

With Partitio in your party, head to the northeastern corner of Sai in Hinoeuma to trigger a cutscene where Partitio will recognize Masoud’s crest on a wagon. Head up the stairs and interact with the house. Masoud will give you a test. He’ll want you to give him his legendary treasure. Use Partitio to hire Masoud’s Daughter, who can be found by the well behind the inn, for 1,000 leaves. Lead her to her father then speak with him. Masoud will tell you that you’re incorrect. Partitio and Masoud’s daughter will head back to town and she’ll give Partitio a hint about the test. Partitio will then understand that the treasure Masoud is looking for is himself. Head back up the hill and hire Masoud for 5,000 leaves. As a reward for getting the correct answer, you’ll receive the Mercantile Manuscript Archive Key, which will allow you to peruse the Mercantile Manuscript in the archives!

Tropu’hopu Route

The Legendary Shipwright’s Apprentice

With Partitio in your party, head to the Tropu’hopu: Shipyard, which can be found in the northeastern part of Toto’haha, to trigger a cutscene with an angry customer. Afterwards, head over to the dock and approach Terry for another event. When you have 100,000 leaves, use Partitio’s Purchase Path Action on Terry to purchase her ship.

Reward: You’ll now be able to set sail in your ship from anchorages to explore the ocean! Embark on new sea adventures to discover uncharted islands and new creatures!

Winterbloom Route

Someone, Help Me!

With Partition in your party, approach the northeastern house to trigger an event. Head inside this house to trigger another event where you’ll meet Audley who is in a pickle. You’ll then need to find the following 3 musicians:

• Violinist: Canalbrine – West of the inn at night
• Piano-Playing Cleric: Flamechurch – In front of the church at night
• Guitarist: Crackridge – Head up the stairs east of the savepoint and enter the building directly in front of you

Hire each musician then lead them back to Audley in Winterbloom so he can record their music. Once you’ve found all 3, the quest will complete.

Rewards: You can now play records on the gramophone in taverns.
