To obtain the Scooped side quest in Dead Island 2, head northeast from Ocean Av onto Stoker Pl. For this quest, you’ll need to find and help the survivors in the LA 24 News office on the eastern side of Ocean Avenue. To gain access to the building, head to the corner of Stoker Pl and Silicon St. There will be crates stacked perfectly for you to use to jump onto the scaffolding.
Once on the scaffolding, head straight ahead, passing a corpse. Break the window at the end then jump into the building. Now that you’re in the building, you have some exploring to do! Head into the only open room and grab the Zompocalypse Assignments journal from the coffee table. In this same room, collect the LA 24 News Crew’s Plan journal from the receptionist’s desk.
When you’re ready to continue on, head up the stairs and loot the LA 24 News Security Pass next to the corpse by the elevator.
Use this keycard to open the door that you previously passed at the top of the stairs. Follow the path to find the survivors then speak with Esta. She’ll want you to get to the basement, so make your way down there.
Once in the basement, turn on all 3 servers (interact with the keyboards). Afterwards, head up to the second floor and enter the conference room. Esta will then radio that something is in the room with them. Quickly make your way to Esta and Nora in the news room. Defeat the waves of Butchers then speak with the pair. Afterwards, the quest will complete. As a reward, you’ll receive 4,000 XP.
