Here we will cover how to start and complete this quest along with the rewards you will receive. Overworld Quests are typically found on the world map and require you to complete specific actions, recruit a certain character or deliver requested items. Every little bit will help to strengthen the Liberation Army!
How to Start the An Angel’s Request Quest
To begin the An Angel’s Request, you’ll first need to complete The Winged Knight side quest. Once you’ve completed that quest, travel to Rondmort Church, which is in the same area that the previously mentioned side quest takes place! Speak with Ochlys there and she’ll ask for help collecting divine shards. Agreeing to help her will start the quest.
How to Complete An Angel’s Request
To complete the Angel’s Request, you’ll need to bring her 30 divine shards, which can be found around Fevrith or received from completing quests. You can check out our Where to Find Divine Shards guide to locate these shards! Once you’ve acquired the shards, you can trade them to Ochlys for items in her shop. She will also join your party!

How to Start the Building an Army Quest
In order to start the Building an Army quest, you will need to speak with an Archer near Fort Rimitz after you have leveled up your Renown Rank to D.
How to Complete Building an Army
To complete this quest, you will need to travel to Fort Rimitz and interact with it to bring up the fort menu. Select “Hire” to prompt a tutorial on hiring mercenaries. Next, hire one of the mercenaries in exchange for Renown to complete this quest.

Head southeast of the fort along the road and pass the stone bridge. When you reach the broken bridge, head south to find this Cornia Divine Shard.
Coquillage Town
From the town follow the path on the west side of town north to the ocean then head right to reach this Unicorn Overlord Divine Shard.
Fort Rimitz
You’ll find this Cornia Divine Shard just south of the fort by the river near the bridge.
Thulust Harbor
Follow the road north of the harbor to reach a beach then head west in the middle of the mountains to find this Divine Shard.
Thulust Harbor (Secluded Shore) x3
Take the ship at Thulust Harbor to reach the Secluded Shore. On this island, you’ll find 3 shards!
Fort Mainteneaut
Head west from Fort Mainteneaut and follow the road south, crossing a bridge. The path will turn east and you’ll find this shard by the white tents just before a bridge.
Fort Chandelis
This shard can be found southeast of the fort just south of the bridge.
Rondmort Church
This shard can be found in the woods to the southeast of the church just past the cemetery.
Fort Chandelis
On the northwest side of the fort, cross the wooden bridge then head west to find a cave. Pass through this cave then head east to find the shard in the middle of the wooded area.
Lebouge Hamlet
Head through the woods west of the hamlet and follow the path to find a Gryphon Carving. Once you reach the carving, head east to find this shard by the rocks.
Fort Colmarre
Head east and cross the bridge then head north. You’ll find this shard along the road.
Fort Veille
Travel west of town near the ocean to find this shard.
Fort Veille #2
Travel west of town until you hit the ocean then head south to find this shard near a building.
Fort Veille #3
Travel north of the fort and cross the bridge. Head east until you reach the ruins. You’ll find this shard on the north side of the ruins.
Fort Paradis
Just west of the fort, you’ll find this shard in a group of trees.
Fort Paradis #2
Head east from the fort and when you reach the river head north.
Facon Town
From the town, head east down the road. When you reach the statue of the girl pouring something from the jug, head south.

How to Start The Local Guardsman Overworld Quest
You can start the Local Guardsman by crossing the bridge slightly southwest of Ouvrir Harbor and speaking with the Liberation Soldier there.
How to Complete The Local Guardsman
Once you start the quest, go to Ouvrir Harbor and choose the Station a Guard option from the menu. A popup will appear, explaining how Station Guards work. You can then select one of your units to be a guard at the harbor. Feel free to pick anyone you want because guards can still join in for battles. After that, exit the town to finish the quest and get your rewards!

You can find the Rebuilding Fevrith Overworld Quest just south of Ouvrir Harbor past the bridge. There will be a duo of Townspersons there. Speak with them to start the quest.
How to complete Rebuilding Fevrith
In order to complete the Rebuilding Fevrith quest, you’ll need to make a delivery to a town. Interact with the gathering point next to the townspeople to receive 3 Corvia Herbs. You can then take those to Ouvrir Harbor and deliver them via the Deliveries tab. This will complete the only Restoration Request leveling up the town. Leave the town to complete the quest and receive your rewards!

How to Start the Bolstered Ranks Overworld Quest
To start the Unicorn Overlord Bolstered Ranks quest, you need to head to Fort Soligie west of Ouvrir Harbor and talk to the Mercenary on the east side of the fort. He’ll explain how to increase the number of units you can command, giving you a stronger presence on the battlefield. This will kick off the quest.
How to Complete Bolstered Ranks
Interact with Fort Soligie then choose “Expand Units” from the menu. This will bring you to another screen where you’ll be able to choose another unit to unlock for 10 Honors. In order to do this, you’ll also need to have raised your Renown Rank to D. You can do that by completing quests and making deliveries to towns. Once you’ve unlocked another unit, exit the fort to complete the quest.

How to Start A Sparring Session Overworld Quest
To start A Sparring Session Overworld Quest in Unicorn Overlord, you’ll first need to travel to Fort Soligie west of Ouvrir Harbor and speak with the Soldier standing on the east side of the fort. She’ll tell you about mock battles then ask you to complete one triggering the quest.
How to complete A Sparring Session
Interact with Fort Soligie and select “Mock Battle” from the menu. You will then be prompted to select two of your units to face one another in battle. After picking the second unit the battle will start. Please note that the first unit that you pick for the Mock Battle has to win to satisfy the objective for the quest. Once it plays out and you get returned to the Mock Battle menu, leave the fort to complete the request and receive your rewards!

Learn how to begin and finish the quest, discover the rewards you’ll earn, the key characters in our victorious team, and the strategy we applied to conquer the battle stage. Keep in mind that we prioritized tasks like freeing forts, capturing bridges, and clearing watchtowers before meeting the victory conditions to maximize experience points, war funds, Honors, and renown, all crucial for strengthening the Liberation Army.
How to Start The Mercenary’s Trial Side Quest
Travel west from Bellum Ghoria Hamlet in the southwestern part of Cornia to meet Berenice. Speak with her a 2nd time to get the details as to what she wants. This will trigger the quest to start.
How to Complete The Mercenary’s Trial
When you are ready, interact with the banners near Berenice and select “Deploy to Stage” then “Yes”. This will trigger a cutscene leading to the Battle Stage. For this fight you will be facing Sellswords and Cleric so make sure to choose the right characters for your units.
For this battle, we used the following units:
Hodrick’s unit = Clive and Sharon
Lex’s unit = Josepf and Chloe
We used Hodrick’s unit to liberate the Fort and the Bridge and Lex’s unit to take down the Watchtower. Afterwards, all of our unit converged to take down the Command Post.
Be on the lookout for shiny objects on the ground throughout the battle stage. You’ll be able to receive the following items: Barricade Kit and Smoked Nuts.
This map is pretty straight forward. You will need to follow the only path west to reach the enemy’s Command Post. First you’ll have to liberate Fort Colmarre and then the bridge just beyond that. There is also a Watchtower in this area that will heal injured enemy units that you will also need to deal with.
After taking the bridge, it’s a straight shot south to the Command Post. Berenice has a Thief on the front lines so you’ll want to use a Hunter like Rolf to take him out. Be weary of Berenice’s Valor Skill. She can summon additional units to attack you led by a Sellswords until you bring her down. Once you emerge victorious, you’ll be rewarded with a Brown Beret clearing the stage. A cutscene will trigger where Berenice will request to join the Liberation Army. You’ll gain her as a new character if you accept.
