Fire Emblem Engage – Divine Paralogues Guide

This guide covers the Divine Paralouges which are DLC for Fire Emblem Engage. To kick off this extra content, you’ll first need to reach Chapter 7. Once that’s done, travel north from Firene Castle to reach the Mountain Settlement and continue heading west past the Bandits’ Hideout. Follow the path along the sea to reach the Dragon Temple. There you can start the Divine Paralouge: The Ancestor. Completing this map will unlock the rest of the maps where you’ll find the rest of the Waves 1 thru 3 DLC Emblems. Also note that the enemies scale to your level, so if you knock all of these out in Chapter 7, the Emblems won’t have a second health bar.

Divine Paralogue: The Ancestor

Location: Dragon Temple

Travel to the Dragon Temple to trigger a dialog event where you’ll meet Tiki. In order to secure her aid, you’ll need to battle and defeat her in combat. To reach her, you’ll need to deactivate 2 seals. This is a bigger map with lots of enemies so make sure to take your time. After you bring Tiki down, explore the area, speak with your allies and adopt any animals.

Divine Paralogue: The Brash General

Location: Berserker’s Hollow

Travel to the Berserker’s Hollow and begin the chapter where you’ll be introduced to Emblem Hector. To secure his aid, you’ll need to defeat him in battle. For this battle, Hector will be in the northwestern part of the map. A lot of enemies you face will be thieves and armored units, so make sure to bring a Mage and Martial Monk. As you head through this area, watch out for the damage-dealing geysers on the sides of the rocks. Work your way to Hector and defeat him with his 2 health bars to take his bracelet.

Divine Paralogue: The Doting Sister

Location: Underground Passageway

Head to the Underground Passageway map and begin that chapter where you’ll be introduced to Emblem Camilla. In order to secure her aid, you’ll need to defeat her in battle. To reach Camilla, follow the eastern path to reach her location in the northcentral area of the map. The path will be littered with a plethora of enemies with a good amount of them being flying and armored so make sure to bring a mage and archer. Once you defeat Camilla, the battle will end and you’ll receive her bracelet.

Divine Paralogue: The Lonely Heir

Location: Heroes’ Sanctuary

Make your way to the Heroes’ Sanctuary and start the chapter to meet Emblem Veronica. You’ll need to defeat her in combat to secure her aid. For this map, your units will be divided into 2 groups of 4 with the objective of moving them onto two panels on the northern sidet of the area. Once this is done, a bridge will open allowing you to reach Veronica. There is an assortment of enemies here. You’ll have to facE a Mage Cannoneer near Veronica who can fire artillery shells from a distance. The eastern side of the map has a large number of armored units, so sticking a mage over there could make things a bit easier. Also, note that as you approach each Veronica will summon additional enemies in that area to defend it. Once you take down Veronica, the map is over and you’ll secure her bracelet.

Divine Paralogue: The Radiant Strategist

Location: Magma Cavern

Travel to Magma Cavern and begin the chapter to meet Emblem Soren. To secure her aid, you’ll need to defeat him in combat. For this map, you need to work your way to the southwestern corner where Soren awaits. Along the way, fight the enemies that consist largely of staves, armored and flying units. For an easier time, make sure to bring a martial monk, mage and archer. Keep an eye out for the smoke that shoots up from the volcano as it causes a debuff to the unit standing in it along with the damage dealing volcanic bombs. Once you take down Soren, the battle will end and you’ll receive his bracelet.

Divine Paralogue: The Shepherd Exalt

Location: Altar of Destiny

Travel to the Altar of Destiny and begin the chapter to meet Emblems Chrom and Robin. To secure their aid, you’ll need to defeat them in combat. For this map, Robin and Chrom can be found on the northern side protected by a barrier. In order to break it down, destroy all three crystals in the same turn. As you defeat enemies and get closer to the crystals, Chrom and Robin will make water appear around the map that will decrease your avoidability and spawn in additional enemies. This battle has a wide assortment of units. You’ll need to defeat the pair in order to win their bracelet.

Octopath Traveler II – Throne Chapter 3: Father’s Route

Throne is on a quest to secure her freedom from the Blacksnakes. During Throne’s Chapter 3: Father’s Route in Octopath Traveler II, she’ll head to Montwise to meet her father. Please note that the recommended level for this main story is 31.

Abandoned Traverse

In Montwise, travel east to reach the Abandoned Traverse then follow the path to find Father on a bridge. After he reminisces, continue east to find Father in front of a church. You’ll receive more glimpses into his past. Afterwards, enter the Abandoned Church.

Head to the far eastern side of this area to reach Father. You’ll learn some more details about your own history.

Boss Fight

Unfortunately the conversation goes south. During this fight, Father has an AOE attack, can do high damage to a single party member and can cause bleeding. After the halfway cutscene, Father will get faster.

Octopath Traveler II – Throne Chapter 3: Mother’s Route

Throne is on a quest to secure her freedom from the Blacksnakes. During Throne’s Chapter 3: Mother’s Route in Octopath Traveler II, she’ll head to Wellgrove in the hopes of finding Mother’s hideout. Please note that the recommended level for this main story is 31.

To sneak in to the orphanage, you’ll need to find yourself a habit. Head to the northeastern part of town and steal the Habit from the nun. You’ll don the robes then head to Mother’s Garden, which is to the south.

Mother’s Garden: Orphanage

When you approach the savepoint in front of the orphanage, you’ll be greeted by an Elderly Guard. Head up the western stairs and enter the second room on the right. Next, steal Mother’s Garden Key from Morozov who can be found northwest of the savepoint in the hallway. Once you have the key, head through the door behind Morozov.

Boss Fight

As you head through the multiple archways, you’ll reach the savepoint. Just north of this you’ll encounter Mother. She has an AOE attack, can prevent you from Boosting, has an attack that can hit multiple party members and can bind you. About halfway through the fight, you’ll learn some shocking information.

Octopath Traveler II – Temenos Chapter 3: Stormhail Route

Temenos is on a quest to solve the case. During Temenos’ Chapter 3: Stormhail Route in Octopath Traveler II, he arrives in Stormhail to interrogate Vados the Architect at the Sacred Guard HQ. Please note that the recommended level for this main story is 37.

Stormhail

Once able, head for the Sacred Guard HQ in the northeastern part of town. You’ll run into your friend before entering. When inside, you’ll receive shocking news. Afterwards, head to the cemetery east of the HQ to find blood stains. After becoming indebted to Crick again, follow the blood stains and interact with the thing at the end. Next, rest at the inn. Krick will do some searching on his own. Meanwhile, Temenos ponders the case and sleeps. When he wakes, make for the HQ to receive Krick’s clue. Afterwards, head inside the HQ and follow Krick up the stairs to the room on the western side. Investigate the clues in this library then follow Krick up to the western side of the rafters. There you’ll find a mechanism. Head back down to the base of the stained glass window to find a secret door. Head through the door to enter the Forbidden Shrine.

At the end of this area, you’ll find the culprit which of course leads to a boss fight! Deputy Cubaryi has a mood called Triple Thrust that attacks a party member 3 times. She also has another move called Divine Shield that protects her.

Octopath Traveler II – Temenos Chapter 3: Crackridge Route

Temenos is on a quest to solve the case. During Temenos’ Chapter 3: Crackridge Route in Octopath Traveler II, he arrives in Crackridge to find the Fellsun Ruins that might hold clues to help him solve the mystery. Please note that the recommended level for this main story is 24.

Crackridge

Since the townsfolk are rather unhelpful, make for the inn and stay the night. Once your ready to resume your investigation, you’ll exit the inn and meet Reiza, a fellow traveler. Use Guide on Reiza and bring her to the Abandoned Road, which is on the eastern side of town.

Abandoned Road

Head through this area. Eventually, Reiza will try to flirt with you, and you’ll reveal that you know who she is all along. Since you saw through her disguise, she’ll take it as a sign and lead you to the ruins.

Fellsun Ruins

As you make your way through this area, you can find the below. Along the path you’ll find a shiny blue object. Interact with it to receive the Mysterious Notebook. Proceed through the ruins until you find the mural. There you’ll learn the history of the place and glean more clues for your investigation. Afterwards, the chapter will complete!

Octopath Traveler II – The Cleric & Thief Crossed Paths

Part 1

For The Cleric & Thief Crossed Paths quest in Octopath Traveler II, Throne and Temenos are looking for a treasure in the Flamechurch Cathedral. Please note the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is 16.

To begin your treasure hunt, coerce information from the Forgetful Old Man next to the savepoint. This man has 3/10 strength and is vulnerable to Staff and Light. Switch to Day then guide him all the way north to the Flamechurch: Cathedral.

Once inside the cathedral, head into the far eastern room where the Former Carpenter will spill the beans. Proceed through the hidden passageway and follow the path. After crossing over the rafters, follow the path down (not up the ladder), to find a chest containing an Angel’s Ring. Continue up the ladder and enter the room to find a surprise. After the meeting, the quest will complete.

Part 2

For The Cleric & Thief, Part 2 Crossed Paths quest in Octopath Traveler II, Throne and Temenos will arrive in Conning Creek where a commotion occurs. Please note the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is 45.

When you gain control, head north of the savepoint to reach the shore. At night, use Throne’s Ambush Path Action on the Guard in front of the house. You’ll then be able to enter the house. Do so then switch to day and use Throne’s Steal Path Action on Alpates to receive the Folded Paper.

After retrieving the map, return to Conning Creek and exit the western side of town to reach the Western Conning Creek Coast. Take the northern path. Head down the stairs then follow the path to the northeast, passing a set of stairs leading east. Take the next set of stairs down to a sandy beach with a chest. Follow the path west until you reach the cave.

In the Cavern of the Moon and Sun, you can find chests containing the following:

  • 2400 leaves
  • Light Soulstone (L)

After emerging from the dark area, you’ll reach a cavern with 3 lit beams of light. Temenos will search for clues. Interact with the shiny blue object on the eastern circle after changing the time of day twice. You’ll find another slip of paper and a fragment of a cloudy mirror. Afterwards, the quest will end.

Octopath Traveler II – The Dancer & Warrior

Part 1

For The Dancer & Warrior Crossed Paths quest in Octopath Traveler II, Agnea and Hikari hear a beautiful instrument in Ryu. Please note the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is 8.

Use Hikari’s Path Action to bribe Yomi with 800 leaves for her to play the song. She needs to make preparations so wait a night then return to her. She’ll have wasted all the money we gave her on clothes and needs her lute string repaired before the song can be played. Use Agnea’s Entreat Path Action on the Stubborn Horse Owner just south of Lomi to acquire the Horse Tail Hair. Return to Lomi and hand it over. She’ll want us to return after waiting another night. Do so then jump in your boat and sail south. Follow the path and speak with Lomi at the top of the hill where you’ll finally get to hear her play. Afterwards, the quest will end.

Part 2

For The Dancer & Warrior, Part 2 Crossed Paths quest in Octopath Traveler II, Agnea and Hikari return to Ku where Benkei has an idea. Please note the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is 45.

To prepare for the ritual, you’ll need to gather 3 items:

  • Dancer’s Mask – Head north to Castle Ku: Entrance. Once there, enter the building on the west side and snag the Dancer’s Mask from the Official.
  • Sacred Wood – At night, head to the southeastern part of town and grab the Sacred Wood from the Carpenter.
  • Wine Offering – At night, head to the tavern. Once inside, snag the Wine Offering from the Citizen.

Once you have all the items, return to Benkei and hand them over. He’ll then propose that we visit the Tranquil Grotto in search of a lute player. Make for the Tranquil Grotto, which is just east of the Eastern Ku Sands. Once inside, head east a short way to trigger a cutscene. Continue deeper into the area. If you wish to explore, there are a few red chests containing the following items:

  • Mysterious Dagger – Follow southeastern path
  • 25000 leaves – East just before the lute player

In the deepest part of the area, you’ll find the lute player. Approach them to meet Yomi. After you hear her story, challenge her using Hikari’s Path Action. She is vulnerable to Spear / Bow. Upon defeating her, you’ll have the chance to learn a new skill.

With everything finally ready, the ceremony will begin. Afterwards, the quest will complete!

Octopath Traveler II – The Apothecary & Hunter

Part 1

For The Apothecary & Hunter Crossed Paths quest in Octopath Traveler II, Castti and Ochette will arrive in Cropdale where Ochette catches a delicious smell. The two follow her nose to a merchant’s stall. Please note the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is 16.

After Ochette’s dissatisfied with the meal, you’ll offer to help the Meat Merchant. Head north out of town then take the boat heading east to find the Animal Trail. Proceed into this area a short ways to trigger a cutscene where Castti and Ochette will find the stash of an angry Dire Duordour. This will lead to a boss fight. The Dire Duordour is vulnerable to Sword / Bow / Staff / Fire. Once you take it down, it’ll run off. Follow the creature deeper into the area. Along the way, take the steps leading south from the main path to find a chest containing a Herb of Serenity!

As you approach the savepoint, you’ll find the animals hiding. Continue east passing the savepoint to find the Duordour. Afterwards, the quest will end.

Part 2

For The Apothecary & Hunter, Part 2 Crossed Paths quest in Octopath Traveler II, Castti and Ochette arrive in Cropdale once more to check on Wooly-Ooly. While there, they’ll discover that something is amiss in the woods. Please note the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is 45.

After finding the meat stall gone, travel north to the Forest Path. Once there, head east and take the map transition to the Animal Trail. After discovering something amiss, continue deeper into the area where you’ll encounter a strange creature. Use Ochette’s Provoke Path Action during the day on this creature. The creature is vulnerable to Dagger / Bow / Light.

Once you take it down, you’ll find Wooly-Ooly. Assuming it was the shadow thing that hurt Wooly-Ooly, continue east deeper into the woods.

After being reunited with Ochette, you’ll engage in a boss fight against the Creeping Shadow. It’s vulnerable against Spear / Axe / Bow / Ice / Light. With the forest saved, the quest will end.

Octopath Traveler II – The Scholar & Merchant

Part 1

For The Scholar & Merchant, Part 1 Crossed Paths in Octopath Traveler II, Osvald and Partitio arrive at New Delsta to experience its wonders! Please note that the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is Level 8.

When Osvald and Partitio arrive in New Delsta, they’ll come across a starving man. Apparently, this man, Regulus, and Osvald are acquaintances! Head on over to the tavern on the eastern side of the area to catch up with Regulus.

Partitio has an idea to help Regulus out, make for the following people an use Partitio’s Path Action to purchase the following telescope parts:

  • Metalworking Tool for 200 leaves from the Merchant in the tavern
  • Mirror for 250 leaves from the Aristocrat near Diamante’s Estate
  • Precision Lens for 300 from the Woman near the Provisioner

Once you’ve collected all the telescope parts, give them to Regulus in front of the theater.

Part 2

For The Scholar & Merchant, Part 2 Crossed Paths in Octopath Traveler II, Osvald and Partitio travel to Montwise to visit Regulus and inspect his “earth-shattering” invention. Please note that the recommended level for this Crossed Paths quest is 45.

When you gain control, travel to the northeastern room to trigger a cutscene where you’ll find out that Regulus’ research was stolen. Make for the loan shark’s mansion east of the library. After overhearing the thugs’ conversation, you’ll engage in a fight.

Octopath Traveler II – Partitio’s Chapter 3

Partitio is on a quest to bring prosperity and happiness to all those suffering from poverty. During Partitio’s Chapter 3 in Octopath Traveler II, he visits Wellgrove to find the wealthy noble, Alrond, a potential financier. Please note that the recommended level for this main story is 35.

Wellgrove

To check out the town, head north to the merchant tents to find a scammy merchant. As thanks for educating him, the Young Man invites you to a tavern for some drinks. You’ll need to report on an achievement. We were able to select from the following: Ship, Gramophone and Mercantile Manuscript. After selecting one, you’ll be invited to Alrond’s estate in the north.

Make your way there! Once inside, you’ll meet Alrond in his office. He’ll give you the daunting task of reviving Wellgrove!

Return to town where you’ll help out the rug selling merchant. Partitio will then spot the perfect abandoned building for a storefront. You’ll then need to use Partitio’s Hire Path Action to hire 3 merchants around town:

  • Cheerful Merchant in tavern for 2400 leaves
  • Enthusiastic Merchant by western map transition for 1600 leaves
  • Reformed Merchant north of the savepoint for 1000 leaves

Once everyone has been hired, return to the abandoned building. Alrond will be impressed by your idea, and Ori will surprise you yet again! With everything set in motion, you’ll need to gather merchandise.

  • In Tropu’hopu speak with the merchant just north of the savepoint and purchase coffee beans for 1200.
  • In Clockbank, speak with the guard east of the tavern and purchase the pocket watch for 2500.
  • In Oresrush, speak with Papp and purchase the silverwork for 3400.

With everything purchased, return to the department store in Wellgrove. Afterwards, head to Alrond’s estate in the north and enter Alrond’s office to meet the hooded figure.

Boss Fight

Before you can damage the Enemy in the Mist, you’ll need to defeat the Steam Engine. With the Steam Engine defeated, the Enemy in the Mist will be revealed. No surprises there! This person throws a wench that can hit multiple party members. They can also repair the Steam Engine, causing you to have to defeat it once again before you can resume the fight against the main boss.
