Gamer’s Log 004

What’s going on? Chappie here with yet another Gamer’s Log and I’m happy to report that I managed to beat Nights of Azure, Nights of Azure 2, and Vampyr since that last log. Nights of Azure 2 is the sequel to Nights of Azure (obviously) and follows a new set of characters on their journey to stop the Moon Queen from bringing eternal darkness to the world. Like its predecessor, Nights of Azure 2 is a hack-n-slash RPG that builds on the mechanics of the first game creating a better experience and is worth a play if your into that kind of thing. Then there’s Vampyr that is set in the early 1900s and follows Dr. Jonathan Reid who has returned home to London following the first World War. His homecoming is bittersweet, however, as London is currently being decimated by an epidemic. Adding more fuel to the fire, Jonathan awakes in a mound of corpses where he learns that he has become a vampire. You can check out my review here for more information.

With that, you are now been caught of up on my previous gaming shenanigans, so let’s talk about what I’m playing now. Last week 2 new RPGs were released that I have had my eye on for quite a while. Those games being Shining Resonance Refrain (which I’m playing now) and Octopath Traveler (which I will play next). I am 30 hours into Shining Resonance and loving it so far. The general gist of the game is you get to fight dragons as a dragon, which is sweet in its own right to save a kingdom. You can find the official trailers for Nights of Azure 2 and Shining Resonance Refrain below.

SHINING RESONANCE REFRAIN TRAILER

On the blog end, I have posted all of the guides I plan on doing for Vampyr and will try to refine the citizen hints when I start my embrace everyone playthrough which will hopefully be after shining Resonance and Octopath Traveler. My review of Vampyr has been posted and after some contemplation, I have decided to drop my God of War, Detroit Become Human, and Nights of Azure reviews. The reasoning behind this decision is that it has been a while since I have played those games and they are not really fresh in my mind anymore. I felt that would hinder the reviews. I’m also still working on my upcoming games list along with my backlog list, but that’s a slow process as work has been pretty crazy the last couple of weeks. That’s all for this Gamer’s Log, Chappie signing off!
