How to Start the Yelv’s Partner Affinity Mission
In Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, affinity and main story missions are unique in that you can only undertake one at a time. If you begin an affinity mission, you won’t be able to start a main story mission, and vice versa. Furthermore, you can only have one affinity or story mission active at any given time.
The Yelv’s Partner affinity mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition can be found in NLA’s Commercial District. The recommended level for this mission is 52 and the required level is 50. The primary destination is Oblivia. The required affinity with Yelv is Rank 4. To begin this mission, you must complete Chapter 11, survey 50% of Oblivia, and obtain the mimeosome left and right legs.
The mimeosome left leg can be found in the canyon at East Ibra Ravine. It will be just north of the “East Ibra Ravine” text on the map.
The mimeosome right leg can be found on the northwestern shore of Lake Basel just southwest of the FN Site 316 landmark.
Yelv’s Partner Details
Using the locations where the arms and legs were found, determine the location where Yelv’s friend fell and search for him.
Objectives:
- Talk to Eleonora on the BLADE Concourse in the administrative district
- Explore over 60% of Oblivia
- Talk to Eleonora on the BLADE Concourse in the administrative district
- Head to the calculated location at Oblivia’s Eddie Conquest
- Defeat the gale Milsaadi at Oblivia’s Eddie’s Conquest
- Approach the wreckage at Oblivia’s Eddie’s Conquest and investigate
Yelv’s Partner Walkthrough
At the start of this mission, travel to the BLADE Concourse in the Administrative District. Once there, speak with Eleonora near the Mission Control.
Afterward, you’ll need to explore over 60% of Oblivia. This can be done by placing probes, defeating tyrants, and collecting treasure. Look at the hexagonal map to see what you must do in each segment.
Once you’ve achieved 60% exploration in Oblivia, return to Eleonora on the BLADE Concourse and speak with her.
Next, travel to Eddie’s Conquest on the western side of Oblivia. When you arrive, a cutscene will trigger. Once it ends, you’ll face a Level 52 Gale Milsaadi. Take it out then the Yelv’s Partner quest will end.
