How to Start The Qlurian Archaeologist Affinity Mission
In Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, affinity and main story missions are unique in that you can only undertake one at a time. If you begin an affinity mission, you won’t be able to start a main story mission, and vice versa. Furthermore, you can only have one affinity or story mission active at any given time.
The Qlurian Archaeologist affinity mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition can be found in NLA’s Administrative District. The recommended level for this mission is 21 and the required level is 21. To begin this mission, you must complete Chapter 5. The primary destination is Oblivia.
The Qlurian Archaeologist Walkthrough
The Qlurian Neil has asked for your assistance with a cosmoarchaeological survey. Join her and head to Oblivia.
Head for the giant ring in Oblivia’s Barbarich Desert
Travel just south of FN Site 312 to find two monkeys guarding the structure. After the cutscene concludes, take out the two Level 20 Outlaw Simius.
Investigate the base of the giant ring
The first spot to investigate is right by where the giant monkeys were. When you interact with it, you’ll get the Giant Ring Activity Log 1.
For the second spot to investigate, head north towards the objective. Once you reach the ring, interact with the Hidden Giant Ring Console to get the Giant Ring Activity Log 2.
A cutscene will then trigger. Once it ends so will the quest and you’ll unlock Neilnail as a party member!
Completion Rewards
As a reward for completing The Qlurian Archaeologist affinity mission, you’ll receive the following:
- Experience x170
- Reward Money x10,000
- Unknown Scholastics
- Psycho Launcher Art “Conduction Rise”
