How to Start the Hope Springs Eternal Affinity Mission
In Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, affinity and main story missions are unique in that you can only undertake one at a time. If you begin an affinity mission, you won’t be able to start a main story mission, and vice versa. Furthermore, you can only have one affinity or story mission active at any given time.
The Hope Springs Eternal affinity mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition becomes available at the start of Chapter 4. The mission can be found in NLA’s Residential District. The recommended level for this mission is 21 and the required level is 21. To begin this mission, you must accept the “Marry Me!” basic mission. The primary destination is Cauldros.
Hope Springs Eternal Walkthrough
Head to Cauldros with Hope and save the Nopon Caravan there.
Talk to Lularita at Cauldros’s Drongo Caravan
Travel to the Drongo Caravan, which is north of Scholes Battlegrounds in Cauldros, and speak with Lularita.
Defeat five mold caro at the Scholes Battlegrounds
Head southeast to the Scholes Battlegrounds where you’ll find the Level 13 Mold Caro on a ledge. Defeat five of them!
Talk to Lularita
Return to the Drongo Caravan and speak with Lularita.
Report to Ornella
Travel to NLA’s Residential District and speak with Ornella near the cathedral. The Hope Springs Eternal affinity mission will then end, and you’ll get Hope as a party member.
Completion Rewards
As a reward for completing the Hope Springs Eternal mission, you’ll receive the following:
- Experience x170
- Reward Money x10,000
