How to Start the Castle in the Sky Mission
To begin the Castle in the Sky mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, speak with Kuta at the Cleansing Spring in Sylvalum. This quest becomes available during the Lesson from the Grave mission, and the recommended level for this mission is 32. You can only speak with Kuta at night from 19:00 to 04:59.
Castle in the Sky Walkthrough
Kuta, the courier, had his cargo stolen. Listen for eyewitness reports as you hunt down the criminal.
Talk to Wanana at Sylvalum’s Cleansing Spring at nighttime
After accepting the mission, you can find Wanna jumping up and down right next to Kuta. Speak with him to learn that the culprit came from the sky, grabbed the cargo, and took off, heading west.
Talk to Nana at Sylvalum’s Cleansing Spring at nighttime
Nana can be located on the west side of the Nopon caravan, standing next to some miniature mannequins. Speak with her to learn about how the thief came running into camp and might be the slithery sniitching snake of rumors that can breathe fire!
Talk to Bobora in Sylvalum (optional)
If you want to do some extra legwork, you can travel to FN Site 413 (west of North Ciel Sandsea and north of Lake Ciel) and follow the path leading up the mountain to find Bobora. You can speak with him; he’ll tell you he saw everything that happened at the caravan while observing the stars! The Nopon will also tell you where to find the creature, updating your objective marker.
Retrieve Kuta’s Cargo from a Certain “Huge Think” Somewhere in Sylvalum
Travel to the southwestern part of Lake Ciel near the South Ciel Sandsea towards the maker you got from Bobora. When you reach it, the level 32 Jacual Ire will make its grand entrance. Defeat the monster to receive “Kuta’s Cargo”.
Talk to Kuta at Sylalum’s Cleansing Spring at Nighttime
Return to the Cleansing Spring and speak with Kuta to hand over his cargo, which will complete the mission.
