How to start Warmth in Winter
Speak with the Portly Man outside the tavern on Lower Dia Franco Street in Altabury Heights on or after 9/13.
When prompted, choose “I’d like to help.” He’ll then tell you about how he’s a craftsman who used to make armour but decided to transition over to blankets and clothing instead.
Due to everything going on, he can’t get the thread he needs. He’ll then request that you procure some materials for him so that he can resume his work. You’ll need to collect some Durable Spider Silk, which can be collected in Malva.
Warmth in Winter Guide
Gather Intel
Before traveling to Malva, you can stop by the Skyward Tavern on Dia Franco Street in Altabury Heights and speak with the Informed Woman there. You can then purchase the “Village Trading: Altabury Heights” intel to learn more about Malva if you wish. But this isn’t required.
Travel to Malva
Head to the Gauntlet Runner and use the round table to travel to Malva.
If you spoke with Loveless beforehand, he will be waiting along the path to the village to face you in battle. He’s weak to light attacks and will attack you using piercing attacks.
Purchase Durable Spider Silk
Once you arrive at Malva, you’ll be brought to the shop where you can purchase items. Switch to the Key Items tab and purchase the Durable Spider Silk for 500 reeve. Take that back to the Portly Man in Altabury Heights to complete the quest.
Rewards
For completing this quest, you’ll be rewarded with 37,500 reeve, a pair of Mountaineer Gloves (Strength +3 Magic +3 95 DEF 0 EVA Effect: Prevents Frostbite), and some points in your Tolerance Royal Attribute.
