Welcome to NGB and our Unicorn Overlord guide on The Tormented Helm side quest! Learn how to begin and finish the quest, discover the rewards you’ll earn, the key characters in our victorious team, and the strategy we applied to conquer the battle stage. Keep in mind that we prioritized tasks like freeing forts, capturing bridges, and clearing watchtowers before meeting the victory conditions to maximize experience points, war funds, Honors, and renown, all crucial for strengthening the Liberation Army.
How to Start The Tormented Helm Quest
To start The Tormented Helm quest, you’ll need to find the area shown in the image below to witness a scene with Tatiana! Afterwards, you’ll ask the townsperson about it.
How to Complete The Tormented Helm
When you’re ready to begin the Unicorn Overlord The Tormented Helm quest, interact with the banners on the map. For this battle stage, you’ll be facing mostly Knights and Clerics so plan your units accordingly. Knights are weak to flying units such as Gryphon Knights and Thieves, whereas, Clerics are weak to Hunters.
Be on the lookout for shiny objects on the ground throughout the battle stage. You’ll be able to receive the following items: Revival Orb (S) (In forest by Watchtower) and War Funds of 5000G
For this map, you’ll first come across Fort Epine Morceaux, which is guarded by a Watchtower in the woods just north of the fort. Send a unit to deal with the Watchtower and had the other ones follow the road to the fort, taking out the enemies along the way. Ghislain will drop the Angel Hunter’s Buckler. Afterwards, a cutscene will trigger then the battle will begin anew!
For this map, make your way to the Oevuille Ruins in the northeastern part of the map to receive War Funds of 6000G. You’ll also want to station a unit at the ballista then move another unit to push for Tatiana.
Be on the lookout for shiny objects on the ground throughout the battle stage. You’ll be able to receive the following items: Empowering Draught
When you defeat Tatiana, you’ll receive a Lifeblood Staff! Afterwards, a cutscene will trigger and you’ll have the option to allow her to continue the experiments or end them here. We chose to let them continue and she joined the Liberation Army.
The Tormented Helm Quest Rewards
As a reward for completing The Tormented Helm quest, you’ll receive the following:
- Black-Iron Axe
- Healing Tonic (M)
- House Chouvre
