How to start Trial of the Dragon: Heroes’ Rest
To begin the Trial of the Dragon: Heroes’ Rest quest, speak with Edeni in Dragon Statue Plaza on Eht Ria.
He’ll tell you about a trio of towers scattered throughout the country and that a hero who proves worthy in the three trials will be granted a forbidden power. He’ll then ask if you’ll partake in the trials and tell you about the Spire of Blind Faith, which is one of the towers.

Gather Intel
Travel to the Golden Deer Hearth on Irga Island and speak with the Talkative Mustari inside. You’ll then want to purchase the “The Spire of Blind Faith Trial” intel. You’ll learn that you’ll need protection from Fire during this trial.
Explore the Spire of Blind Faith
For this quest, travel to the Spire of Blind Faith. Upon reaching this area a cutscene will trigger. When it ends, pick your party then head inside.

Make your way all the way up to the ninth floor where you’ll encounter a Plateau Mirage. Save your game then head up the stairs to encounter the boss.
Boss Fight – Devourer of Flames
During this boss fight, you’ll face the Devourer of Flames, which is a Level 70 dragon. This dragon is weak to nothing and absorbs Fire!
With each turn, the dragon will boost its attack with Great Dragon’s Wrath, which maxes out its attack. It can also give itself additional Turn Icons, inflict Charm and Burn on the entire party, and use its tail to inflict party-wide Strike damage. When it uses Roar, all your stats will decrease. It also has attacks that deal Slash damage.
After you defeat the dragon, the quest will end.
Quest Rewards
As a reward for completing this quest, you’ll receive the Cardinal Dragon Robe. This item has Magic +5, Endurance +5, 380 DEF , 0 EVA and nullifies Fire.
