How to start The Trial of Malnova
To start the Trial of Malnova quest, you must first complete the main quests to obtain Drakodios and eliminate Virga Island’s threat. After doing that, speak with Eupha outside the Rooster Inn on Virga Island in Eht Ria.

Travel to the Land of Ceremony
Return to the Gauntlet Runner and use the round table to plot a course to the Land of Ceremony northeast of Virga Island. It will take two days to reach this location.
You might want to check the weather before traveling, as the island is known to be home to some foul weather. You can get around that by speaking with Edeni at Dragon Statue Plaza in Eht Ria. He can clear up weather conditions and will do so for free the first time.
Explore the Land of Ceremony
To complete the quest, you’ll need to face the boss on the very top floor of the Land of Ceremony.
To reach it, work your way to the very bottom of the dungeon to find another route leading all the way up to the other end of the top floor.

Boss Fight – Homo Pento
The boss can be found in the northern section of the top floor. For this boss fight, you’ll be facing the Human Homo Pento. It’s Level 50 and is weak to fire and repels wind.
He’ll start by using Soul Cry to gain 2 turn actions. Afterward, he’ll summon a skeleton to help him fight the battle. It will also spam Shockwave, an AOE attack that will hit the whole party.
Once the boss goes down, an event will trigger, leading to the end of the quest.
Rewards
For completing this request, you’ll be rewarded with some points in your Wisdom Royal Attribute. You’ll also unlock Eupha as a Follower, gaining access to her Archetype.
