How to Start The Thunderstone Quest
To begin The Thunderstone quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, speak with Kona in Grund.
The Thunderstone Walkthrough
Defeat Thomlin of Horschan
Travel to Horschan and speak with Thomlin Bruthans about the thunderstone. Persuade him to show you the stone, and he’ll show you a fake. After you call him out on it, you’ll learn the thunderstone was stolen from him.
Find out what Peter and Hensel know about the thunderstone
Travel west to Raborsch. Once there, speak with Peter, who is working in the cabbage field. Persuade him to tell you the truth of what really happened.
Find the military encampment
Travel northeast to the search area. You’ll find it in the center of the search area along the river. Instead of fighting the enemies there, tell the guard you’re there to speak with Andrew.
Free Hensel
Once in the camp, speak with Andrew. There are several ways you can free Hensel:
- Pay him 1000
- Convince him to let Hensel go
- Fight him
Head into the barn on the far side of camp and untie Hensel. Follow him as he runs back to Raborsch. When he stops, speak with him about the thunderstone.
Ask Mlada about the thunderstone
Per Hensel’s instructions, head to the lake on the east side of Raborsch, then go to the Two Dead Trees marker. Once there look for the steep rockface with a skull. A small hole will be located in this cliffside next to the skull. Inside it, you’ll find a container with 348 groschen.
Travel to Suchdol, then speak with Mlada.
Offer to help in exchange for the stone. Examine Peter, who is lying on the bed in their house, and deduce what is wrong with him by exhausting all the dialogue options.
To treat him, give him a chamomile brew and exhaust all his dialogue options to cure him, except for saying a spell. Speak with Mlada for some rep increases then wait for two days to pass and check on Peter. You’ll then get the thunderstone from Mlada.
Decide the fate of the thunderstone
Now you get to decide to keep it, give it to Kona or give it to Thomlin. For the best rewards, do the below!
Give the thunderstone to Thomlin. As a reward, he’ll give you 150 groschen or will show you some wrestling moves. It’s your choice. When his back is turned, pickpocket the thunderstone from him. Bring it to Kona in Grund. She’ll give you a discount at the stud farm, your alchemy will increase, you’ll receive 100 groschen (if you accept it), and you can visit the Grund blacksmith to learn new stuff (but you’ll still have to pay for it). If you desire the stone, pickpocket it from Kona.
