How to Start the Three Giant Brothers
To start the Three Giant Brothers shrine quest, head to the western side of Taran Pass. You can easily identify the area by the large bones scattered around and a flag located in the center, along with three orb pedestals that overlook the site.
Once there, read the stone slab positioned between two torches to receive a vital clue: “The ancient orbs guarded by the giants of Mount Taran lead to the shrine.” With this information, the Three Giant Brothers quest will officially start.
Solving the Riddle and Revealing the Shrine
To solve the puzzle and uncover the shrine, you will need to locate three orbs hidden around Mount Taran, each guarded by a giant Cyclops.
First Orb – Rabella Wetlands
The first orb can be found northwest of Taran Pass in the Rabella Wetlands, hanging around the neck of a Cyclops. You can either sneak up and take the orb while it is sleeping or defeat the Cyclops first before retrieving it.
Once you have the orb, place it on the corresponding pedestal, making sure to align it with the direction the pedestal faces. If placed correctly, the pedestal will glow blue. For this orb, the pedestal in the center should be used when facing the riddle slab.
Second Orb – Uten Marsh
The second orb is located south of Taran Pass in Uten Marsh, again resting on the neck of a Cyclops. This Cyclops sleeps on a small island surrounded by shallow water, making it easier to approach quietly or prepare for battle.
Retrieve the orb and place it on the correct pedestal according to the riddle’s instructions.
Third Orb – Hanu Pond
The final orb can be found north of Taran Pass on a small island in the center of Hanu Pond. Just like the previous two, it is guarded by a Cyclops.
Take the orb and place it on its designated pedestal to complete the sequence.
Once all three orbs are correctly positioned, the shrine will emerge, completing the The Three Giant Brothers quest.
