To become a member of the Thieves Guild, you must complete the quests, Finding the Thieves Guild and May the Best Thief Win. Once you finish May the Best Thief Win, you will be invited to join. You can start the Finding the Thieves Guild quest in a number of ways, with the easiest being to ask the locals of the Imperial City about the Grey Fox.
The Thieves Guild Questline Walkthroughs
This guide is a work-in-progress! We’ll update it as we work our way through the Thieves Guild questline!
The Thieves Guild questline follows a specific structure. Once you join the guild, you’ll start the Independent Thievery quest, which requires you to steal and sell items to earn a certain amount of gold. As you reach each target amount, you’ll unlock new quests that involve stealing specific items or helping the guild by performing tasks such as planting evidence. Successfully completing these jobs will earn you promotions and give you access to higher-rated fences.
