How to Start The Secret Getaway
To begin the The Secret Getaway side mission, you’ll first need to:
- Complete Mystery of the Missing T-Shirt and Infinite Imagination side missions
- Progress the story until you reach The In-Between main mission
- Reach Akihabara: A Certain Back Alley, looking for Dr. Simmons
Once the conditions have been met, you’ll receive a Digiline message from Hiroko informing the Agent about a Mysteirous Phenomenon in Shinjuku Park.
The Secret Getaway Side Mission Walkthrough
Talk to Hiroko Sagisaka
Head to Shinjuku Park: Waterfall Plaza in Nishi-Shinjuku, then head to the southeastern corner of the area to find Hiroko standing next to a tree. Speak with her to learn about some ghosts that have been sighted in the area. She’ll want to start by traveling to the Community Forest.
Investigate Shinjuku Park
Go to the northeastern corner of the area to trigger an event where Asuna Shiroki from Public Safety will call out to you. After talking, she’ll escort Hiroko and the Agent to the Community Forest.
Go to the Location Where Asuna Shiroki Heard the Cry
When you regain control of the Agent, head down the side path on the north side to find a Digimon sitting at the end of the path. Speak with it to meet Guilmon. After choosing some of the dialogue options, Guilmon will head for the entrance to the sewers.
Chase the Digimon into the Shinjuku Underground
Enter the Shinjuku Underground Waterway to reach the South Block area. Head south along the path to spot Guilmon. Speak with it once more to trigger a fight against the Digimon.
Defeat Guilmon
For this fight, you’ll be facing the Level 10 Guilmon: A Rookie gen Virus attribute Digimon of the Reptile type. It is weak to Water and Ice, while resisting Fire and Earth, so be sure to bring some Vaccine Digimon with Water or Ice skills to deal some extra damage.

- Rock Breaker – Target: 1 enemy – Performs a Fire Physical attack at power 45 (10% CRT Rate)
After defeating Guilmon, an event will trigger, completing the side mission.
