How to Start The Royal Guard’s Gear

To start the Royal Guard’s Gear side quest in Breath of the Wild, you’ll need to travel to the Riverside Stable in the southeastern part of Hyrule Field. There, you’ll want to locate and speak with Parcy, who tends to be chilling inside the stable.

She will tell Link that back when the castle was safer, she went looking for some ultra-rare equipment that once belonged to the royal guard. This presents Link with the opportunity to get some new gear!
The Royal Guard’s Gear Side Quest Guide
To complete the Royal Guard’s Gear, you’ll need to find one of several weapons used by the Royal Guard. Those weapons also happen to be located in Hyrule Castle, which is guarded by Guardians, Lynels, and a host of other monsters that now call the castle grounds home. Luckily, there are only a few that you actually need to fight.
If you are playing on Master Mode, this quest can be done a little quicker if you bring some electric arrows or an electric-based weapon.
Finding A Royal Guard’s Weapon
When you’re ready, head to Hyrule Castle. The main bridge leading into the castle has been destroyed, so you’ll need to approach from the water just beyond it.
Once you enter the castle grounds and the map changes to a 3D representation of the castle, head to the main entrance. From the main entrance of Hyrule Castle, follow the road as it curves left, passing by a Rusted Guardian. Enter the castle through the doorway on your right.

Inside the long hallway, the gates will shut. Use Cryonis to lift the gate, then continue heading down the hallway until you spot a Lizalfos guarding the stairway.

At the Lizalfos, head left through the doorway and follow the stairs down to reach the Guards’ Chamber.
If you are playing on Master Mode, in the back bottom part of the Guards’ Chamber, you’ll find a Silver Moblin. It will be wielding a Royal Guards’ Claymore. If you hit it with an electric arrow or weapon, it will drop the claymore, allowing you to pick it up.
From the Guards’ Chamber, go back up the stairs, take a left, and cross the hall to enter the doorway on the right. This will bring you into another hall filled with malice. Head as far as you can through it, then look up to spot an eye just past a doorway. Shoot it to clear the malice and head through the doorway.

Take the next left, shooting another eye again to eliminate the Malice and proceed up the stairs.

At the top, turn left, avoiding the Guardian on your right. Continue along the path, run past the second Guardian, and enter the tunnel. When you emerge, you’ll see an entrance straight ahead and slightly to the left. Quickly go through this doorway to reach the Library.

Once in the Library, head left and go up the stairs. Follow the path, jumping the gaps. At the other end of the room, take the stairs up to the third level, then follow the path down a long hallway.

Enter through the doors that are cracked open at the end. On the right side of the room, take the stairs up and use the wall to reach the other side of the gap. Head through the doorway and take a left at the T. At the very end on the left, use a bomb to break the wall, revealing a secret room with the Royal Guard’s Sword mounted in a stone pedestal.

Show Parcy the Weapon
Now that you have a royal guard’s weapon, return to Parcy at the Riverside Stable and speak with her to complete the quest. As a reward, you’ll receive 300 rupees.
