Get into the temple crypt

To get into the crypt, which is through a trapped door in the floor of the basement, you can either just go there or gain access during the Thou Art But Dust side quest. Once you find the tomb, open it to find that Valentine’s sword isn’t there. Interact with the lid, and Henry will comment on the sword and suggest that he can forge one.

Forge a replica of Sir Valentine’s sword

To leave the crypt, head to the room with the preserved body. Head south in this room to find the way out. Head to a forge and craft the Sword of Sir Valentine. You’ll need the following materials:

  • 1 Copper
  • 1 Straight Sword Guard
  • 1 Cow Skin
  • 1 Coin Sword Pommel
  • 1 Frankfurt Steel
  • 1 Scap Metal

For 44 groschen you can purchase all the materials except the cow skin from Blacksmith Zdimir at Grund. To buy a cow skin, head to Kuttenberg and purchase it from the Saddler.

Once you have all the materials, forge the sword!

Bring Sir Valentine’s sword to the knight

Return to the Humble Knight to give him the sword. Unfortunately, things go south pretty quickly. If you convince him he picked the wrong victim, he’ll give you the St. Apollonia’s tooth. Otherwise, you’ll need to fight him. Either way, you can loot the Sword of Sir Valentine from where he falls.
