The Path of Dawn Walkthrough
The Path of Dawn main quest in Oblivion Remastered will automatically begin after completing the Weynon Priory quest.
Speak to Jauffre
At the start of this quest, you’ll need to question Jauffre about how to recover the Amulet of Kings from the enemy. Upon speaking with Jauffre, you’ll be invited to join the Blades! Sign up, then talk to him about the Amulet of Kings.
Speak to Baurus
Travel to the Imperial City Elven Gardens District and enter the Luther Broad’s Boarding House. Inside, speak with Baurus. He’ll want you to sit down on the stool next to him so do it! He’ll then tell you that he’s going to get up and the guy in the corner is going to follow him.
He wants us to follow that guy. Tell him, “I’m ready when you are.”. Afterward, follow the guy into the basement where he’ll attack Baurus. Help Baurus defeat the attacker then loot Astav Wirich’s body to collect a book entitled Mythic Dawn Commentaries 1.
Once you acquire the book, speak with Baurus to learn what he has learned.
Speak with Tar-Meena
Make your way over to the Arcane University in the Imperial City. Once there, head to the Mystic Archives and speak with Tar-Meena inside about “Mythic Dawn”.
Speak with Phintias
Travel to the First Edition bookstore in the Imperial City Market District and speak with Phintias about “Mysterium Xarxes”. After you learn the Commentaries, Volume Three has been purchased by Gwinas, wait in the shop until Gwinas comes to pick up his copy of the book.
Acquire Volume 3
After Gwinas retrieves the book, speak with him about it. Exhaust the dialog options to acquire the book from him. He’ll also give you a lead on how you can acquire the fourth volume.
Speak to Baurus
Now that you’ve gotten Volume 3, return to Baurus in the Imperial City Elven Gardens District and speak with him about the “Mythic Dawn meeting”.
Acquire Volume 4
Follow Baurus into the Sunken Sewers beneath the Elven Gardens District.
Eventually, he’ll stop just before a wooden door. Baurus will want to participate in the meeting with you covering him.
If you agree to cover him, head up the stairs to the left of the door and follow the path to reach your hiding spot over the meeting. If you meet the Sponsor, head through the door and sit in the chair.
Either way, the conversation will quickly turn to a battle. Defeat the two enemies then loot the Mythic Dawn Commentaries 4 from the body of the Raven Camoran.
Speak with Tar-Meena
Now that you have all four books, return to Tar-Meena and speak with her about “Mythic Dawn”. She’ll then ask that you check back tomorrow, so wait 24 hours then speak with her again.
She’ll give you a hint and request that you give her another 24 hours. Do so to learn that she has discover the message in the books: “Green Emperor Way Where Tower Touches Midday Sun.
Investigate Green Emperor Way
Travel to the Imperial Palace and activate the symbols that glow in red on the Tomb of Prince Camarril. Please note that these symbols will only appear at noon.
Afterward, The Path of Dawn quest will end and the Dagon Shrine quest will begin!
